Britta Stallmeister is a German operatic soprano. A member of the Oper Frankfurt from 1998 to 2015, she has appeared in major European opera houses and international festivals. She has performed in premieres, and in recitals and recordings.
Stallmeister studied voice at the Musikhochschule Hannover with Carl-Heinz Müller. [1]
She was a member of the Oper Frankfurt from 1998, where she made her debut as Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte . [1] She performed more than 50 roles there, including Hekuba in Les Troyens by Berlioz. [2] After she left the company in 2015, she has still appeared as a guest. Some of the Frankfurt productions were recorded, with her as Woglinde in Wagner's Die Walküre , as Ighino in Pfitzner's Palestrina , and as Cordelia in Aribert Reimann's Lear . [3]
In 2001, she appeared at the Bayreuth Festival as Waldvogel in Wagner's Siegfried [1] and as Blumennädchen in his Parsifal . The following year, she performed at the Salzburg Festival the role of Europa in Die Liebe der Danae by Richard Strauss. [1] On 16 September 2017, she appeared in the premiere of Søren Nils Eichberg's Schönerland at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, in the role of the Stückeschreiberin (librettist). [4] On 31 May 2018, she performed the leading female role of Germa in the first performance of the chamber version of Stephan Peiffer's Vom Ende der Unschuld at the Wiebaden Schlachthof as part of the Internationale Maifestspiele. She recorded the role of Ilia in Mozart's Idomeneo in the arrangement by Richard Strauss, alongside Robert Gambill in the title role, Iris Vermillion as Idamante and Camilla Nylund as Ismene, conducted by Fabio Luisi, in 2008. [7]
In concert, she appeared in recitals and recorded songs by Hans Pfitzner, among others. In 2000, she recorded the soprano part in Bach's St Matthew Passion with the EuropaChorAkademie, conducted by Joshard Daus, alongside Andreas Wagner as the Evangelist, Friedemann Kunder as the vox Christi, and contralto Hedwig Fassbender. In 1997, she won a prize at the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb. [2]
Edda Moser is a German operatic soprano. She was particularly well known for her interpretations of music by Mozart. Her 1973 recital LP Virtuose Arien von W.A. Mozart received the Grand Prix du Disque.

The Internationale Maifestspiele Wiesbaden is a theater festival in Wiesbaden, Germany. Established in the late 19th century after the Bayreuth Festival, the festival is one of the most distinguished international theatre and music festivals in the world. It is presented annually in May at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the State Theatre of Hesse in the capital Wiesbaden. The festival currently features performances of operas, ballets, plays and musicals. Visiting companies, mostly from European theaters, present their recent productions along with performances of the Theater Wiesbaden. Concerts from a wide array of music genres are featured as well as artistic circus acts and modern dance presentations. Lectures, recitals, cabaret performances, art showings and readings are also part of the program.

The Chor von St. Bonifatius is a German mixed choir, the church choir of the parish St. Bonifatius, Wiesbaden. It was founded in 1862 as a male choir and was a mixed choir from 1887. From 1981 to 2018, it was conducted by Gabriel Dessauer, who founded two children's choirs. The group sang the first performance in Germany of John Rutter's Mass of the Children and performed in Azkoitia, San Sebastián, Görlitz, Bruges, Macon and Rome. Colin Mawby composed for the choir the Missa solemnis Bonifatius-Messe for the 150th anniversary, celebrated on 3 October 2012. From 2019, the choir has been conducted by Roman Twardy who conducted in his first concert Dvořák's Stabat Mater.
Siegfried Köhler was a German conductor and composer of classical music. He worked as general music director of opera houses such as Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden and the Royal Swedish Opera. Köhler conducted premieres of works by Hans Werner Henze and Volker David Kirchner, among others, and revived rarely performed operas. He also composed music for the stage and taught at universities of music in Cologne and Saarbrücken.
