Broadway was an American post-hardcore band from Orlando, Florida. Formed in 2007, the band "burst onto the music scene with their catchy hooks and sophisticated song structures." [1]
The band joined Uprising Records to release their debut album Kingdoms in 2009 which features guest appearances by singers Jonny Craig and Craig Owens. The band is also known for their cover of The Lonely Island's single "I'm on a Boat", and have released three full-length albums entitled Kingdoms, Gentlemen's Brawl and Contexture: Gods, Men, & The Infinite Cosmos.
The band formed in Florida in 2007, with the drummer Jake Garland being the only founding member. The original line up had recently lost their singer and lead guitarist and Camacho had parted ways from a local band. In a March 2011 interview with Media Essentials, Camacho told them, "The current guitarist at the time found my stuff on MySpace and shot me an email asking if I was looking for a band. I came out to a practice and everything seemed to click." [2] Camacho later asked his long-time friend Jack Fowler, with whom he had previously been in a couple of projects, to join the band. After that, members came and went, but eventually Fowler's friend Gabriel Fernandez from art school, joined as the bassist and Sean Connors joined as the guitarist from a band with whom the group was good friends. In 2007, the band won the University of Central Florida's Battle of the Bands and also released their first EP titled Scratch and Sniff. [3]
On January 1, 2009, the band released a cover of The Lonely Island's single "I'm On A Boat" on the band's MySpace band page. The song has also generated success on YouTube [2] and has had over 1.59 million views. [4]
Two years after the debut of their Scratch and Sniff EP, Broadway released their first full-length studio album. It was entitled Kingdoms and released on July 7, 2009, through Uprising Records. [5] The album generated favorable reviews from fans and critics.[ citation needed ]
The album features two high-profiled artists of other post-hardcore bands. Lead vocalist Jonny Craig of Dance Gavin Dance is featured on the track "Don't Jump The Shark Before You Save The Whale". According to Camacho, Jonny Craig was introduced to the band through an acquaintance at Uprising Records who had asked him to do a guest appearance on the CD. [2]
The other featured artist, Craig Owens of Chiodos, appears on the track "Same Thing We Do Everyday Pinky." Camacho met Owens through a mutual friend, who had shared Broadway's album with him after it was recorded. Owens reportedly mentioned that it was too bad the album was finished because he would have done guest vocals on it. Broadway re-edited "Same Thing We Do Everyday Pinky" to feature Owens on the track. [2] Another artist that started the band with them was Jason Coleman. He was a vocalist whom gave a great deal of screaming on the track "We Are Paramount".
The band's second studio album, titled Gentlemen's Brawl, which was set to be released in March 2011, was postponed due to production reasons. It was stated that the album would be "much softer" and "more punk and rock than anything." [2] Camacho also stated that the album's first single would be "Vagrant Stories". [6] On May 18, 2011, guitarist Jack Fowler left the band to be a full-time member for the band Sleeping with Sirens.
On May 1, 2012, the single "Vagrant Stories" was made available on iTunes and Amazon.com. On May 9, 2012, Broadway released information to Alternative Press , stating that the album release date has been postponed yet again from May 22 to June 19.
The album was officially released on June 19, 2012.
Drummer, Jake Garland, left the band to be a full-time member for the band Memphis May Fire.[ citation needed ]
It was revealed on May 14, 2014, that the band would begin recording for the third album in Georgia. The reveal was made through social media.
On July 11, 2014, the band announced their departure from Uprising Records and that their next album, Contexture: Gods, Men, & The Infinite Cosmos, will be released independently. [7] Their new single, "Volcano Jack" was released on July 18, 2014.
The album was officially released on March 10, 2015.
Sometime in mid-2015, the band privately parted ways. No official announcement or reason was given.
On January 16, 2016, the band played a reunion show with the original lineup in Orlando, Florida. The band played their debut album Kingdoms in its entirety. [8]

Emarosa is an American rock band formed in Lexington, Kentucky, in 2006. The band currently consists of lead guitarist and founding member ER White and lead vocalist Bradley Walden, who joined the band in 2013. The group has undergone several line-up changes throughout its career, with lead guitarist ER White being the sole remaining founding member. Originally oriented towards post-hardcore and alternative rock, Emarosa has gravitated towards a more pop rock sound in recent years.
Relativity is the debut studio album by American rock band Emarosa. It was released on July 8, 2008 through Rise Records. Relativity was produced by Kris Crummett, producer of other bands such as Drop Dead, Gorgeous and Fear Before, whom Jonny Craig worked with on Dance Gavin Dance's debut album the year before.
Jonathan Monroe Craig is an American-Canadian singer, best known as the former lead vocalist of the post-hardcore bands Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa, Slaves, as well as the co-lead vocalist of the short-lived supergroup Isles & Glaciers. As a solo artist, he has released two studio albums, two EPs and a live album to date, and his distinct type of soul-based singing has earned him considerable acclaim.

In Fear and Faith was an American post-hardcore band from San Diego, California. Formed in 2006, the group was signed to Rise Records and released three studio albums and two EPs. Their debut full-length, Your World on Fire, being released nearly a year after the band's signing to Rise in 2008, peaked at No. 193 on the Billboard 200. Their second full-length album, Imperial was released the following year and failed to make that chart, but did chart on the Top Heatseekers and overall Indie chart in the US. The band has undergone many line-up changes since its formation, and does not feature any consistent original members since the departure of guitarist Ramin Niroomand and drummer Mehdi Niroomand in 2014; vocalist Scott Barnes is the only current member of the band to have performed on all of the group's studio albums, though he is not an original member; likewise, although current bassist Tyler McElhany is a founding member of the band himself, he was out of the group from 2011 to 2014 and did not contribute to their third album, In Fear and Faith.
Skeletons is the fourth studio album by American rock band Hawthorne Heights, released June 1, 2010. It is their first and only album to be released through Wind-up Records, and is also the first release since If Only You Were Lonely to employ screamed vocals, with guitarist Micah Carli adding limited vocals into select tracks on the record. The album was produced by Howard Benson. The album peaked at #50 on the Billboard top 200 albums.
Brian Michael Southall is an American guitarist, drummer, keyboardist, vocalist, producer, and band manager. He is known for playing in bands fordirelifesake, Boys Night Out, The Receiving End of Sirens, Isles & Glaciers, and The Company We Keep. He was the tour manager for Motion City Soundtrack and for All Time Low before transitioning to production management in 2018 for different acts such as Billie Eilish and Pharrell Williams.
Illuminaudio is the third studio album by American post-hardcore band Chiodos. It was released on October 5, 2010 through Equal Vision Records. Illuminaudio is the first and only studio album from the band with vocalist Brandon Bolmer, formerly of Yesterdays Rising, after the departure of Craig Owens. Owens would return to the band in 2012, replacing Bolmer. This is also the first and only album with drummer Tanner Wayne, formerly of Underminded. He would leave the band in 2012, to be replaced by former drummer Derrick Frost. This is also the last album with original guitarist Jason Hale. He would leave the band in 2012 to be replaced by The Fall of Troy's guitarist and vocalist Thomas Erak. As of March 2014, the album has sold 49,000 copies in the United States.
D.R.U.G.S. is the debut studio album by American post-hardcore band Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows released on February 22, 2011.
Downtown Battle Mountain II is the fourth studio album by American rock band Dance Gavin Dance, released on March 8, 2011, on Rise Records. The album is a non-direct sequel to the band's full-length debut studio album, Downtown Battle Mountain (2007), and sees the return of original members, vocalists Jonny Craig and Jon Mess, and bass guitarist Eric Lodge. It also serves as a follow-up to the band's third studio album, Happiness (2009) and was produced by Kris Crummett. The album is the group's second studio album, and third and final release overall, to feature Jonny Craig upon rejoining the band in 2010. Craig later departed from the line-up in August 2012. Upon its release, the album debuted at No. 82 on the Billboard 200 while the Hot Topic deluxe version debuted at No. 190 on the Billboard 200 in the same week.
Decoder was an American post-hardcore band formed in 2010 in Florida. The group consisted of former members of the bands Versa, Polyenso, and Of Machines. Decoder were signed to Rise Records and released one album. The group performed mellow and slow tempoed post-rock and ambient-influenced instrumentals coupled with screamed vocals and heavy percussion.
State Champs is an American pop-punk band from Albany, New York, formed in 2010. They are currently signed to Pure Noise Records and have released three EPs and four full-length albums. Their 2013 debut album The Finer Things debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. They released an acoustic EP titled The Acoustic Things in October 2014 and their second studio album Around the World and Back one year later, in October 2015. In May 2017, they released a deluxe version of the album. Their third album, Living Proof, was released in 2018. In May 2022, the band released their fourth studio album, Kings of the New Age.
Hold On Pain Ends is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band The Color Morale. It was released on September 2, 2014 through Fearless Records, and was produced by Mike Green and Courtney Ballard. This marks the band's first album on this label following their departure from Rise Records.
