Brock Frost (born August 25, 1981) is a Canadian licensed mortgage broker, private lender, real estate investor, motivational speaker, published author, financial coach and the founder of a Mutual Fund Trust. He was elected city councilor of Cornwall, Ontario in 2014. [1] He is also the owner of Cornwall River Kings. [2] [3]
Frost was born in Cornwall, Ontario, and raised in the small suburb of Ingleside. [4] He graduated from Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School (CCVS). [5]
In 2014, Frost was lobbied by members of the community to run for a seat on the city council. [6] On October 27, 2014, he was elected, having finished eighth out of twenty-nine candidates. [7]
In 2015, a failed business resulted in heavy public ridicule and Frost resigned his seat after 364 days of being elected. [8] [9] Subsequently, he relocated to Ottawa to rebuild his brand. During this period, Brock authored his first book, "The Investor Mindset."[ citation needed ]
In 2017, he became licensed as a mortgage agent.[ citation needed ]
The St. Lawrence Seaway is a system of locks, canals, and channels in Canada and the United States that permits oceangoing vessels to travel from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes of North America, as far inland as Duluth, Minnesota, at the western end of Lake Superior. The seaway is named for the St. Lawrence River, which flows from Lake Ontario to the Atlantic Ocean. Legally, the seaway extends from Montreal, Quebec, to Lake Erie, and includes the Welland Canal. Ships from the Atlantic Ocean are able to reach ports in all five of the Great Lakes, via the Great Lakes Waterway.

The Three Nations Crossing is a border crossing on the Canada–US border, connecting the city of Cornwall, Ontario in Canada to Massena, New York, in the United States. The crossing is associated with the Seaway International Bridge, which crosses the two channels on each side of Cornwall Island, which is located on the St. Lawrence River. The bridge is 4.7 km (2.9 mi) in length.

Prior to his election to the House of Commons, Naqvi was active in Ontario provincial politics, serving as the first visible-minority attorney general of Ontario (2016–2018), minister of community safety and correctional services (2014–2016), and minister of labour (2013–2014). He represented Ottawa Centre in the Legislative Assembly. On 3 June 2023, Naqvi announced his candidacy for the 2023 Ontario Liberal Party Leadership Election in which he lost to Bonnie Crombie finishing in third.
Mathieu Fleury is the former Ottawa City Councillor of Rideau-Vanier Ward, which includes Lowertown, Sandy Hill and Vanier. He won the ward in the 2010 Ottawa municipal election, defeating the incumbent Georges Bédard in a narrow contest, the youngest City Councillor to be elected at that time. They played their home games at Ed Lumley Arena at the Cornwall Civic Complex. The team was also formerly known as the Windsor Wild of Windsor, Quebec before moving to Cornwall in 2012.
The Cornwall Nationals were a minor league professional ice hockey team in the Federal Hockey League (FHL) that played in the 2016–17 season and folded during the 2017–18 season. Based in Cornwall, Ontario, the Nationals played their home games at the Ed Lumley Arena.

Cornwall Street Railway Light and Power Company Limited, operating as Cornwall Electric, is an electricity transmission and distribution utility, licensed by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to operate in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Originally established in 1887 as the Stormont Electric Light and Power Company and merged with the Cornwall Electric Street Railway Company in 1905, it is one of the oldest utilities in Canada.
