Brook Hatwell (born 12 March 1983) is a New Zealand cricketer. He played seven first-class and three List A matches between 2011 and 2012. [1] He was also part of New Zealand's squad for the 2002 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. [2]

He has two older brothers, one of whom, Willy Nicholls, is a media correspondent for the Black Caps and White Ferns. He has also been the captain of the reserve A side since 2017. Nicholls was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. He was a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
Thomas Ackland Blundell is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his international debut for the New Zealand national cricket team in January 2017. He also plays first-class cricket for Wellington. In April 2019, he was named in New Zealand's One Day International (ODI) squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup, despite being uncapped in an ODI match. Blundell was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. He was one of the recipients of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year award in 2023.

The England cricket team toured New Zealand between February and April 2018 to play two Test and five One Day International (ODI) matches. Fixtures in round 7 of New Zealand's 2016–17 Plunket Shield season were played as day/night matches, in preparation for a day/night Test match, which took place at Eden Park. In August 2017, New Zealand Cricket confirmed that the Test at Eden Park would be played as a day/night game. In September 2017, the second ODI fixture was moved from McLean Park, Napier to the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, after issues in re-turfing the ground.
The 2017–18 Trans-Tasman Tri-Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Australia and New Zealand in February 2018. It was a tri-nation series between Australia, England and New Zealand. It followed on from England's tour of Australia, which included the 2017–18 Ashes series, and took the place of the planned Chappell–Hadlee Trophy series. It was the first T20I tri-series contested by full ICC members.

On 29 September 2020, New Zealand Cricket confirmed the full schedule of the tour.
