The Brown County Courthouse located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places for its artistic and architectural significance in 1976. [1] The courthouse is a waypoint on the Packers Heritage Trail.

History

The courthouse was designed by Charles E. Bell and completed in 1908. The original cost was $318,797.67. [2] In 1992, it underwent renovations costing $10 million.

The Florence County Courthouse and Jail, built in 1889, is an historic complex of governmental buildings located at 501 Lake Street in Florence, Wisconsin. Designed by architect James E. Clancy of Antigo in the Romanesque style, it was built of brick with local sandstone and blue limestone trim and terra cotta roofs. The courthouse cost $13,000 while the 3-cell jail building cost $4,000.

The Scott County Courthouse in Davenport, Iowa, United States was built from 1955 to 1956 and extensively renovated over a ten-year period between 1998 and 2009. It is the third building the county has used for court functions and county administration. In 2020 the courthouse was included as a contributing property in the Davenport Downtown Commercial Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Van Buren County Courthouse located in Keosauqua, Iowa, United States, was built in 1843. The 90th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in northeastern Wisconsin, the district comprises the east side of the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin, in central Brown County. The district includes historic landmarks such as the Brown County Courthouse, Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral, the site of Fort Howard, the and the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay campus. It also contains the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. The district is represented by Democrat Kristina Shelton, since January 2021.
