Buckley Jewellery Ltd was founded in 1989 by Adrian Buckley, a UK-based manufacturer of high street costume and fashion jewellery, headquartered in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The Buckley London brand is stocked at over 1,000 international retail locations including 100 airports around the globe, plus 150 airlines and many cruise services. [1]

Awards

In July 2018, Buckley London was nominated for 'Fashion Jewellery Brand of the Year' at the Professional Jeweller Awards. [2] In 2016 and 2017 Buckley London was consecutively nominated for 'Etailer of the Year' at the Retail Jeweller UK Jewellery Awards. [3] The TFWA 2015 Frontier Awards saw Buckley London nominated for both 'Supplier of the Year' and 'Star Product' [4] and at the DFNI 2016 Awards, Buckley London's Shard Collection was named 'Best New Jewellery Product'. [5] Buckley London has previously been awarded the ‘Best Inflight Product’ title for its Russian Trio Set at both the 2011 and 2012 Airline Retail Awards, held as part of the Airline Retail Conference (ARC) in London. Brands and Charity Designs

As well as the global Buckley London brand, Buckley Jewellery Ltd also owns and designs for the BOUTON brand, [7] plus the Attwood & Sawyer brand which was founded in 1956 and revived by Buckley London in 2010. [8] Since 2010 Buckley London has worked closely with the Royal British Legion and their Poppy Appeal by supplying the charity with new crystal poppy brooch designs annually as part of The Poppy Collection; raising over £5 million in aid of the Poppy Appeal since the start of their relationship. [9] Buckley London have also designed and manufactured charity pieces such as the official Breast Cancer Research Crystal Ribbon Brooch, [10] and an official Help For Heroes Cancer Crystal Ribbon Brooch. [11]

In 2012 Buckley Jewellery founded the ABC Trust, a charity which using money from donations and charity events has overseen the construction, funding and opening of both a school and orphanage in Kyasira, Uganda. [12] Work on a new kitchen and dining room began at the orphanage in 2018 with additional funds provided by the ABC Trust. [13]

Links of London was a British brand owned by Greek jewellery company Folli Follie, with headquarters in London, England. It was founded in 1990 by John Ayton and Annoushka Ducas. It sold through outlets in Europe, the US, Asia and online. The business struggled and needed a buyer which the business couldn't obtain so it disappeared from the high streets and is no longer trading. The last known store to close was Hong kong and from June 2020 they were no more.

Astley Clarke is a British jewellery brand that was founded in London in 2006 by Bec Astley Clarke. started as an online retailer, selling designer jewellery In 2009 Astley Clarke started designing their own jewellery, after employing a creative director, Lorna Watson. In 2014, following the appointment of a new CEO, Scott Thomson, Astley Clarke pivoted from being a pure play jewellery marketplace to a jewellery brand, selling jewellery designed only in-house in their London Studio. Astley Clarke is known for having contributed to the creation of the demi-fine category of jewellery and uses only Noble metals with coloured gemstones and 14k gold with diamonds. Pieces are designed to be layered and worn together with a relaxed luxury feel.

DFS Group

DFS is a Hong Kong-based travel retailer of luxury products. Crafters

Crafter's is a Nordic gin brand that includes classic London Dry Gin and Aromatic Flower Gin produced by Estonian distillery Liviko. Both gins are handcrafted in Estonia, copper-pot distilled and made in small batches. In 2018 Liviko exported Crafter's gin to 25 countries. The juniper berries used in the making of Crafter's gin are reused in the Re-crafted Crafter's handcrafted beverages, as the berries retain a valuable part of their flavour even after distillation. Liviko was nominated to World Beverage Innovation Award in 2019 for its zero-waste product innovation that lead to a new category of drinks.

Butler & Wilson is a British jewellery brand founded by Simon Wilson. The company is best-known for its crystal costume jewellery, and their pieces have been worn by celebrities and members of the Royal Family. Wilson, along with business-partner Nicky Butler, first started trading in 1969. Their collection has expanded over time and now includes clothing, accessories and fine jewellery.
