The Bradley Center was a multi-purpose arena located on the northwest corner of North Vel R. Phillips Ave. and West State Streets in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States.

James A. Calhoun is the current men's basketball coach for the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut. Calhoun is the former head coach of the University of Connecticut men's basketball team. His teams won three NCAA national championships, played in four Final Fours, won the 1988 NIT title, and seven Big East tournament championships. With his team's 2011 NCAA title win, the 68-year-old Calhoun became the oldest coach to win a Division I men's basketball title. He won his 800th game in 2009 and finished his NCAA Division I career with 873 victories, ranking 11th all-time as of Feb. 2019. Calhoun is one of only six coaches in NCAA Division I history to win three or more championships and is widely considered one of the greatest coaches of all time. In 2005, he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Alfred Emanuel McGuire was an American college basketball coach and broadcaster, the head coach at Marquette University from 1964 to 1977. He won a national championship in his final season at Marquette, and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1992. He was also well known as a longtime national television basketball broadcaster and for his colorful personality.

Richard A. Bennett is an American former college basketball coach who is best known for building the Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball program into a mid-major power and revitalizing the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he is the father of current Virginia Cavaliers head coach Tony Bennett and former Northern Illinois women's basketball head coach Kathi Bennett.
Richard Raymond Majerus was an American college basketball coach. He coached at Marquette University (1983–1986), Ball State University (1987–1989), the University of Utah (1989–2004), and Saint Louis University (2007–2012). Majerus' most successful season came at Utah in the 1997–98 season, when the Utes finished as runners-up in the 1998 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.
John Louis Castellani is an American attorney and a former basketball coach. He coached the Minneapolis Lakers in the NBA during the 1959–1960 season, their last before relocating to Los Angeles. Prior to his short coaching stint with the Lakers, Castellani was the head coach at Seattle University from 1956 to 1958, and took the Chieftains to the 12-team National Invitation Tournament (NIT) in his first year. With Elgin Baylor starring in his lineup, Castellani led the 1958 team to the NCAA title game in Louisville, Kentucky, but lost 84–72 to the Kentucky Wildcats, led by head coach Adolph Rupp.
The 1977 NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament involved 32 American schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the National Champion of Men's NCAA Division I college basketball. It began on Saturday, March 12, 1977, and ended with the championship game on Monday, March 28 in Atlanta. A total of 32 games were played, including a national third place game. This was the final tournament in which teams were not seeded.
Thomas Aaron Crean is an American college basketball coach and the current head coach for the Georgia Bulldogs. Crean was previously the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team. Prior to that, he served as head coach at Marquette University (1999–2008), where his team reached the 2003 NCAA Final Four.
The Marquette Golden Eagles, formerly known as the Marquette Warriors, Blue and Gold, Gold, Hilltoppers, and Golden Avalanche, are the athletic teams representing Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. They compete as a member of the NCAA Division I level, primarily competing in the Big East Conference for all sports since its establishment in 2013. The Golden Eagles are a founding member of the current Big East, having been one of the seven members of the original Big East that broke away to form a basketball-focused league. They had joined the original Big East in 2005, having previously competed in Conference USA (C-USA) from 1995–96 to 2004–05, the Great Midwest Conference from 1991–92 to 1994–95 and the Horizon League from 1988–89 to 1990–91. They also competed as an independent from 1916–17 to 1987–88. Men's sports include basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis and track & field, while women's sports include basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, track & field and volleyball.
Brian Anderson is an American sportscaster. Since 2007, he has called play-by-play for the Milwaukee Brewers' telecasts on FSN Wisconsin. As a part of his work on the 2007 Brewers Preview Show, Anderson and the FSN team were awarded a regional Emmy Award.

The Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball team represents Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marquette currently competes in the Big East. It last played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2017. Marquette maintains rivalries and highly anticipated games with several other schools, including the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Villanova University, Georgetown University, and DePaul University. The team plays its home games at Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee, where the Milwaukee Bucks NBA team also plays, which opened in September 2018 as the replacement for both teams' home of the previous 30 seasons, the Bradley Center. Despite only having 8,000 undergraduates, Marquette was ranked 10th in average attendance among NCAA Division 1 teams in 2009 and 2010.

He played college basketball for the Iowa State University Cyclones men's basketball team. Upon transferring from the Michigan State University Spartans men's basketball team in 2011, he redshirted the 2011–12 season and began playing for the Cyclones in 2012–13.

Groundbreaking and construction began on June 18, 2016, and the arena received its certificate of occupancy on June 5, 2018. It is the home of the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball team of Marquette University. The arena opened on August 26, 2018.
