Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States, with lyrical references to trap starting in 1991 but the modern sound of trap appearing in 1999. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang term "trap house", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay, and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence. It utilizes very few instruments and focuses almost exclusively on snare drums and double- or triple-timed hi-hats.

Migos were an American hip hop group founded in Lawrenceville, Georgia, in 2008. The group was composed of rappers Quavo, his nephew Takeoff, and Offset. Quavo is from Athens, Georgia, and Offset and Takeoff were born and raised in nearby Lawrenceville. As a group, they were managed by Coach K, the former manager of Gucci Mane and Jeezy, and frequently collaborated with producers such as DJ Durel, Murda Beatz, Zaytoven, and Buddah Bless. Cubeatz have specialized in creating melodies specifically for the purpose to be sampled by other producers to produce the final beat.
Culture III is the fourth and final studio album by American hip hop group Migos. It was released by Motown Records and Quality Control Music on June 11, 2021. The album features guest appearances from Drake, Cardi B, Polo G, Future, Justin Bieber, Juice Wrld, Pop Smoke, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. It is the follow-up to their 2018 album Culture II and serves as the conclusion to their Culture trilogy. A deluxe edition was released six days later, including five additional tracks.

"Hold That Heat" is a song by American record producer Southside and American rapper Future featuring fellow American rapper Travis Scott. It was released on April 22, 2022 with an accompanying music video. The song was written by the artists alongside Mike Dean, who produced it with Southside.
