Bulletscript is a five-piece South African metal band from Cape Town. They were formed in 2006.

Bulletscript toured Namibia with Half Price in 2015. They also participated in the South African Wacken metal battle Final. [1]

In 2015, Bulletscript opened for Darkest Hour in Cape Town. [2]

The Cape Town Stadium is an association football (soccer) and rugby union stadium in Cape Town, South Africa, that was built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. During the planning stage, it was known as the Green Point Stadium, which was the name of the older stadium on an adjacent site, and this name was also used frequently during World Cup media coverage. It is the home ground of WP Rugby and the DHL Stormers, Premier Soccer League clubs Cape Town Spurs and Cape Town City. Mind Assault is a heavy metal band formed in 2003, that first emerged in October 2004 under the name Mind Assault. Their members are based in Somerset West near Cape Town, South Africa. They were the first extreme metal band to use their native language Afrikaans in their music, maintaining a balanced use of Afrikaans and English in their music. This language usage results from a re-emerging consciousness among young Afrikaans people through alternative sub-cultures, reflected by bands such as Fokofpolisiekar and Kobus!, which results from a closer observation of their own cultural heritage.

Riddare av Koden is a Heavy Metal band from South Africa. Formerly known as Elegy, the band had to change its name in November 2009, when the underground success of their debut album attracted the attention of Universal Records. They then became known as Riddare av Koden, and currently perform and release under that name.

Crow Black Sky is a South African black metal band from Cape Town which has been active since 2009. The band has released two albums, with later material described by the band as "cosmic black metal". Multiple lineup changes occurred between the release of the debut album, Pantheion (2010), and 2012. On 17 January 2018, they released their second album, Sidereal Light: Volume One. The band releases its material independently.

Battle Beast is a Finnish heavy/power metal band established in Helsinki in 2008 by Anton Kabanen, Juuso Soinio and Pyry Vikki. The initial line-up consisted of guitarists Soinio and Kabanen, and drummer Vikki, who were high school friends. The rest of the original lineup, bassist Eero Sipilä, keyboardist Janne Björkroth and lead singer Nitte Valo, joined the band after auditions.

Junkyard Lipstick were a five-piece, female metal band from Cape Town, South Africa formed in 2011. Their songs are fast-paced, catchy, bass-heavy, and their lyrics incorporate "a playful sense of humour" with an "odd but interesting amalgamation of gore and a more delicate trace of femininity." In 2016 Junkyard Lipstick disbanded.

African heavy metal refers to the heavy metal music scene in Africa, particularly in East African countries such as Kenya and Uganda, and Southern African countries including Namibia, Madagascar, Angola, Botswana, South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. South African heavy metal has its roots in South African hard rock and heavy metal bands in the 1980s. Through the late 1980s and the early 1990s South Africa grew a well supported metal scene. Particular scenes developed in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. South African heavy metal has been particularly influenced by foreign bands, particularly the New Wave of American heavy metal and American thrash metal.

Blaakyum is a Lebanese metal band from Beirut, founded in 1995 by Bassem Deaibess. Blaakyum's style is a blend of Thrash, heavy and groove metal infused with Middle Eastern and Levantine folk music". To this end, the band incorporates the goblet drum into its music.The band's first studio album, Lord of the Night, was released on Friday the 13th of January 2012. Blaakyum released its second album, Line of Fear, on the 25th of June 2016. The band's last tour started at the Tuska festival, and continued with the "Thrash Mercenaries" Tour 2016, headed by Onslaught.
