The West Australian Football League is an Australian rules football league based in Perth, Western Australia. The league currently consists of ten teams, which play each other in a 20-round season usually lasting from April to September, with the top five teams playing off in a finals series, culminating in a Grand Final. The league also runs reserves, colts (under-19) and women's competitions.
Busselton is a city in the South West region of the state of Western Australia approximately 220 km (140 mi) south-west of Perth. Jonathon Griffin is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club and Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A ruckman from Western Australia, Griffin played for East Fremantle in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) before being drafted by Adelaide at the 2005 Rookie draft. Upgraded to the club's senior list for the 2007 season, he debuted the following season, and played 41 games for Adelaide before being traded to Fremantle during the 2010–11 trading period.

The North East Australian Football League was an Australian rules football league in New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. The league was formed in November 2010, and its inaugural competition was in 2011. It was a second division league, sitting below the national Australian Football League (AFL) and featured the reserves teams of the region's four AFL clubs playing alongside six non-AFL affiliated NEAFL senior teams. Nine NEAFL seasons were contested between 2011 and 2019, before the 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the league was amalgamated into the Victorian Football League from 2021.
The Leagues Championship Cup, officially branded under the sponsor's name as the Foxtel Cup, was an annual Australian rules football club knockout cup competition involving clubs from the various state league competitions from around Australia. The tournament was organised by the Australian Football League (AFL), and was held annually between 2011 and 2014.
Graham Warwick Charles House is a former Australian cricketer who played domestically for both Western Australia and South Australia during the early 1970s. Born in Busselton, a mid-sized town in the south-west region of Western Australia, House was a talented schoolboy cricketer, captaining a representative Australian Schools team on a tour to India during the 1966–67 season. He made his debut at state level during the 1972–73 season, having previously also played for a Western Australia Country team against the touring English cricket team. House made his first-class debut in that season's Sheffield Shield, in a match against Victoria at the WACA Ground. A leg-spinner and competent lower-order batsman, he and Paul Nicholls worked in tandem as Western Australia's spinners during the match. House took only one wicket in the match, but in Western Australia's second innings he scored 70 not out, his highest first-class score and only half-century. He and Jim Hubble put on an unbeaten partnership of 87 runs for the eighth wicket to secure victory by three wickets.
The 2014 Foxtel Cup was the fourth and final season of the Australian rules football knock-out competition involving clubs from the various state league competitions from around Australia.
Western Australian soccer clubs competed in 2015 for the Football West State Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the Cool Ridge Cup. Clubs entered from the National Premier Leagues WA, the two divisions of the State League, a limited number of teams from various divisions of the 2015 Amateur League competition, and from regional teams invited from the South West, Goldfields, Great Southern and Midwest regions. This knockout competition was won by Sorrento FC, their third title.

The 2022 Australia Cup preliminary rounds were the qualifying competition to decide 24 of the 32 teams to take part in the 2022 Australia Cup. The competition commenced in February and was completed in October.
