Butterfly Explosion are an alternative rock band from Dublin, Ireland.

History

Butterfly Explosion was formed by guitarist/vocalist Gazz Carr in 2005. [1]

By 2007, the band had released two EPs while going through a number of lineup changes. John Coman (drums), Conor Garry (bass) and Laura Smyth (vocals) joined the band in 2008 as recording began on the debut album with producer Torsten Kinsella of Irish post-rock band God Is an Astronaut.

The debut album Lost Trails was released in 2010 on the Revive Records label. [2] The album was released in the United States in March 2010 ahead of their appearance at South by Southwest and broke into the CMJ 200 charts having entered the Top 30 of 35 college radio stations.

In May 2010, they performed at the Soundcity Festival in Liverpool and supported label mates God Is An Astronaut on their UK and European tours. [3] The band also performed at the Electric Picnic and Arthur's Day Festivals in Ireland in September 2010. [4]

Captain Beyond is an American rock supergroup formed in Los Angeles in 1971. The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me is the third studio album by American rock band Brand New. It was recorded from 2005 to 2006 in studios in Long Island and Massachusetts with producer Mike Sapone, and released on November 21, 2006 through Interscope Records, making it their major label debut. The album arose following the online leaking of several unfinished demos that were meant to be early blueprints of the upcoming record. Two singles from the album were released – "Sowing Season" on November 21, 2006, and "Jesus Christ" on April 30, 2007. God Is an Astronaut are an Irish post-rock band from County Wicklow, formed in 2002 by Niels and Torsten Kinsella. Their style employs elements of electronic music, krautrock, and space rock, reminiscent of Tangerine Dream. The band consists of Niels and Torsten Kinsella and Lloyd Hanney. They have released eleven studio albums to date.
