The Bănița River is a right tributary of the river Jiul de Est in Romania. It discharges into the Jiul de Est in Petroșani.

The Jiul de Est is a headwater of the river Jiu in Romania. At its confluence with the Jiul de Vest in Iscroni, the Jiu is formed.
