C.W. Kim

C.W. Kim (born Chon Won on August 3, 1938, in Namwon, South Korea) is an American architect based in San Diego. [1] He is responsible for multiple buildings in San Diego, such as the Spinnaker (completed in 2007) and the hexagon-shaped Emerald-Shapery Center. He also serves as assistant professor at the New School of Architecture in San Diego and on the boards of directors for United Way and the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art. In addition, he speaks at seminars and attends charity events.

The three books that make up the trilogy are The Wild Shore, The Gold Coast and Pacific Edge. Each of these books describes the life of young people in the three very different near-futures. All three novels begin with an excavation which tells the reader about the world they are entering.

Lee Ann Kim is a first-generation Korean American who was an anchor and general assignment reporter for KGTV Channel 10, the San Diego, California ABC television affiliate. She worked at KGTV from 1996 to 2008. She was also the executive director of Pacific Arts Movement until 2016. Pac-Arts presents the annual San Diego Asian Film Festival, an event she founded in 2000 with the Asian American Journalists Association of San Diego. She has been married to Louis Song since 1997, with whom she has two sons.

Live in San Diego is a DVD of a concert by the band Switchfoot. It was released in 2004, between the band's albums The Beautiful Letdown and Nothing Is Sound. With the exception of "Learning to Breathe", all of the songs performed at this concert were from their 2003 double-platinum selling album The Beautiful Letdown. The concert was played at SOMA, in San Diego, California. The DVD was certified platinum by the RIAA selling over 100,000 copies.

The San Diego F/A-18 crash was the crash of a United States Marine Corps (USMC) F/A-18 Hornet in a residential area of San Diego, California on December 8, 2008. The pilot, First Lieutenant Dan Neubauer (28) from VMFAT-101, was the only crewmember on board the two-seat aircraft; he ejected successfully, landing in a tree. The jet crashed into the University City residential area, destroying two houses and damaging a third. A total of four residents in one house, two adults and two children, were killed.
