C. Subramani, also known as C. S. Mani, [1] is an Indian politician and was a Member of the Legislative Assembly. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) candidate from Tiruvallur constituency in the 1996 election. [2]

In October 2003, four properties connected to Subramani were searched by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption probing allegations that he possessed assets disproportionate to his known income. This formed part of a wider investigation into similar allegations raised by the Government of Tamil Nadu which was by then controlled by Jayalalithaa's All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party. [1] He, his wife and two sons were formally charged in 2005. [3] All charges were dismissed by the courts in 2015 due to lack of evidence. [4]

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is an Indian regional political party with great influence in the state of Tamil Nadu and union territory of Puducherry. Also, election took place for Vandavasi and Tiruchendur constituency on 19 December 2009 and finally for Pennagaram constituency on 27 March 2010. Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) defeated All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in Thirumangalam in the first phase and kept the winning momentum in the following general election.

Muthuvelayudha Perumal Appavu is an Indian Tamil politician and Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Tamil Nadu. He is the current Speaker of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. He has contested in the Radhapuram state assembly constituency and won four times. He is currently the Speaker of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.

N. Periasamy was an Indian politician and a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) candidate from Tuticorin constituency in the 1989 and 1996 elections.

A. Asokan, also called Nagai Asokan, is an Indian Tamil politician and was a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. Durai Chandrasekaran is an Indian politician and incumbent Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. He was elected four times to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate from Tiruvaiyaru constituency in the 1989, 1996, 2006 and 2016 elections. He lost the seat to P. Kaliyaperumal of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in the 1991 election and to K. Ayyaru Vandayar of the same party in 2001.

Gomathi Srinivasan is an Indian politician and was Minister of Social Welfare in the Government of Tamil Nadu between 1980 and 1987, as well as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.

K. Kannaiyan is an Indian Tamil politician and was a Member of the Legislative Assembly in the state of Tamil Nadu.

R. Sivaraman was an Indian politician and a Member of the Legislative Assembly. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) candidate from Tiruppattur (194) constituency in the 1996 election.
