CBV Binnenland is a Dutch basketball club based in Barendrecht. Its women's team plays in the national first tier Vrouwen Basketball League (VBL). The men's team plays in the national second tier Promotiedivisie.

The Basketball Super League, also known as the ING Basketbol Süper Ligi for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional basketball division of the Turkish basketball league system. It replaced the former Turkish Basketball Championship (1946–1967) to become the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) until 2015 when it adopted its current name while the TBL name became exclusive to the second-tier and third-tier divisions.

Micheal Madanly, better known as Michel Madanly or just Micho, is a Syrian professional basketball player. Most known in his prime playing for Jalaa SC's basketball programme from 2004 to 2011, he also played in a number of Syrian and international basketball clubs in China, Philippines, Lebanon and the Netherlands and a regular feature for many years in the Syrian national basketball team. Madanly is perhaps best known as the leading scorer in the 2007 FIBA Asia Championship, averaging 33.1 points per game.
The Vrouwen Eredivisie, also known as the Pure Energie Eredivisie Vrouwen due to a sponsor contract until the 2023–2024 season, is the highest professional women's football league in the Netherlands. Organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) it was established in 2007 and then played for five seasons until 2012 when the leagues of the Netherlands and Belgium merged forming a single combined league. After three seasons the BeNe League folded and the Eredivisie was restarted in the 2015–16 season. The league winner receives a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Promotiedivisie is the second tier of basketball in the Netherlands and is the highest amateur competition in the country. At the end of a Promotiedivisie-season, a Final Four is played to decide the new champion. The champion earns the right to promote to the Dutch Basketball League, although it only happens in exceptional cases, because a club has to become professional to play in the league.

Landslake Lions is a Dutch basketball club based in Landsmeer, North Holland. The men's team currently plays in the Promotiedivisie, the second tier of basketball in the Netherlands. Red Giants is a Dutch basketball club based in Meppel, Drenthe. Founded in 1974 as Alcides, the club reached the Eredivisie in 1987. It played in the Dutch highest tier league until 1996. Lokomotief Rijswijk, also known as simply Lokomotief, is a Dutch amateur basketball club based in Rijswijk. Established on 1 April 1971, both the first men's and women's teams currently play in the Promotiedivisie, the second-tier league in Dutch basketball. The club has won one major trophy in its history, when it won the NBB Cup in the 1986–87 season. In 2018 and 2019, Lokomotief won consecutive Promotiedivisie titles. The team has since then played well in the NBB Cup competition, even eliminating first level club Den Helder Suns in the 2020–21 season.
BC Eindhoven is a Dutch basketball club based in Eindhoven, that currently plays in the lower regional leagues. In the 1980s and 1990s, it played in the first level Dutch Basketball League (DBL).
