Frederick Stewart was an English football manager. He took up his first managerial role in 1896 with Lancashire League side Stockport County and led them to their first title in 1900. Their success saw them elected to the Second Division of the Football League. The club struggled initially and, after being forced to seek re-election on several occasions, Stewart was replaced by Sam Ormerod. However, Ormerod also struggled and Stewart was reinstated a year later.
George Charles Whitcombe was a Welsh footballer. He also captained Wales at baseball, winning a total of five caps.
Carnarvon United Football Club was a football team from Caernarfon, Gwynedd. The club was formed in 1906 after a merger by Caernarvon Celts and Caernarvon RWF. In 1909 the club won both the Welsh and North Wales Amateur Cups. The club also played in the Welsh Cup. After World War I, the demobilised United players formed a new club, a precursor of the current club Caernarfon Town.
Menai Bridge Tigers Football Club is a Welsh football team based in Menai Bridge on the Isle of Anglesey in north-west Wales. The team currently play in the North Wales Coast West Football League Premier Division, which is at the fourth tier of the Welsh football league system.
The Welsh National League (North) was a football league in north and central Wales which formed the first level of the Welsh football league system between 1921 and 1930, and was part of a short-lived plan to create a national football league in Wales during the 1930s.
