The Cake is a Nollywood romantic comedy directed by Prosper Edesiri and produced by Tongryang Pantu. It stars Saskay, Patience Ozokwor, Emmanuel Jibunor, Philip Asaya, Tope Tedela, Sophie Alakija, and Folu Storms, with Dotun Olakunri as the Executive Producer and also Steve Gukas, Co-producer of the film. It was released through Natives Filmworks and Michelangelo Productions on the Natives Family Friendly Films Project Production Company. Patience Ozokwor, otherwise known as Mama G, or G for General, is a renowned Nigerian Nollywood actress, a television personality, fashion designer, and a musician. She won the Best Supporting Actress 2012 & 2013 award at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards. She is known for taking the role of a wicked woman in some of her movies. Patience Ozokwor was among the top 100 Nigerians Honored by the government to celebrate the amalgamation of the northern and southern protectorates in 2014.
Temitope Christopher Tedela is a Nigerian actor and producer. He has received several awards for his work including Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Award, Nigeria Entertainment Award, Best of Nollywood Award and Nollywood Movies Award.
