California Northstate University College of Pharmacy is a pharmacy school located in Elk Grove in the Sacramento, California metropolitan area. It hosted its inaugural commencement ceremony on May 19, 2012, graduating its first class of students. The current Dean is Dr. Xiaodong Feng.

Students at the university used a grant from the Vietnamese Cancer Awareness, Research and Education Society to conduct a symposium aimed at raising awareness among pharmacists of the prevalence of ovarian cancer in Vietnamese women.[ citation needed ]

Opened in 1988, it was the home of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1988 to 2016. It hosted nearly 200 spectator events each year. The arena is named for the Sleep Train, a chain of mattress and bed retailers based in Rocklin, California, that at the time of the agreement was a subsidiary of Mattress Firm, a Houston-based retailer that has since re-branded all Sleep Train stores as Mattress Firm. Several major entertainers have performed at the venue before its closure including Bruno Mars and Linkin Park.

The Sacramento campus was opened in 2009 and closed in 2015 with students enrolled at that time allowed to complete their studies.

California Northstate University College of Medicine (CNUCOM) is a private for-profit medical school located in Elk Grove, California and is one of the four colleges of California Northstate University, granting the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD). The college of medicine was approved by the WASC in August 2013 and gained preliminary accreditation in June 2015 and provisional accreditation in June 2019 by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education.
