Campbell Russell was an American politician who served in the Oklahoma Senate and as an Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner.
Campbell Russell was born in 1863. He moved to Indian Territory between 1880 and 1882,settling in the Muscogee Nation (present-day Muskogee County). He later owned 27,000 head of cattle through his Prairie Stock Farm in Warner. He founded and funded the first free school for white children in Indian Territory. He built a four classroom school in 1905 and donated it to the town. [1]
Russell was elected to the Oklahoma Senate as a Democrat in 1907 representing the 27th district and served four consecutive terms. [1] [2] In 1916,he was elected to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. In 1922,he was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association. He also worked for Farmer's Union and the Southwest Light and Power Company. He ran for Oklahoma's 9th congressional district in 1930. He died in 1937. [1]

Clement Vann Rogers was an American politician and judge in Indian Territory. Clem Rogers' parents were both mixed-blood Cherokees who moved to Indian Territory in 1832,several years before the Trail of Tears. Before the American Civil War,Clem allied with the "Treaty Party",a Cherokee faction that supported signing the Treaty of New Echota. When the Civil War broke out,Clem enlisted in the Confederate Army,and served under General Stand Watie. After the war,he became active in Cherokee politics,first elected as a judge in the Cooweescoowee District,then served five terms in the Cherokee Senate. He later served as a delegate to the Oklahoma Constitutional Convention. Rogers was the father of entertainer Will Rogers.
Brian John Bingman is an American politician from the U.S. state of Oklahoma who has served in elected and appointed offices since the 1990s. A member of the Republican Party,he was first elected to the Sapulpa city commission in 1992,before being elected mayor by his fellow commissioners in 1994. He would serve in both of these offices until 2004,when he was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives to represent the 30th district. After one term in the house,Bingman ran for the 12th district of the Oklahoma Senate in 2006 and would hold the seat until term limited in 2016. In 2011,he was elected by Republican senators to serve as the President pro tempore of the Oklahoma Senate,a position he would hold until retirement in 2016.
