The Campeonato Nacional is the top level women's futsal league in Portugal, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation. [1] The competition, which is played under UEFA rules, currently consists of 16 teams.
Futsal is a variant of association football played on a hard court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It features similarities to five-a-side football.

The FPF joined FIFA in 1923 and is also a founding member of UEFA.
