Campus Radio ME is an online student-run radio station based in the United Arab Emirates. It was founded by Ritesh Jeswani and Co-founded by Muhammad Ali Jamadar. [1] Conceptualized in 2009 by Ritesh Jeswani, the radio was intended to voice student issues and opinions in the region. [2] With an initial investment of 10,000 AED, the station aired for the first time on April 9, 2010 from Ritesh Jeswani's bedroom. [3] Since then it has evolved to hosting no less than seven live talk shows and five genre-based shows featuring prominent musicians and genres in the region. [4] Since its inception, it has garnered attention on both print media and mainstream radio [5] and now has 24 volunteers and new offices. It was also the winner of Lenovo's Edgy Business Thinker contest in 2010. [6] More recently, Campus Radio ME was awarded prize winner of the Falcon's Lair competition sponsored by Virtuzone and Dubizzle, beating over 500 competing business concept proposals. Consequently, an expansion is due to begin with the station being re-launched on a larger scale.

With over 10,000 listeners a week worldwide, [7] Campus Radio ME has grown to be one of the most listened to radios by students across the Middle Eastern region. [8]

The 2011 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling was held from November 30 to December 4 at the Cranbrook Recreational Complex in Cranbrook, British Columbia. The format for this year's competition was changed from the previous year. Instead of 10 men's and 10 women's teams in two pools of five each, there were seven teams of each gender competing in a round robin. The first place teams advanced to their respective finals, while the second and third place teams met in the semifinals. WDFC-FM 101.7 is a low power non-commercial educational radio station broadcasting from Greensboro, North Carolina. It is the only United Methodist station in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church and is designed to entertain, inform and educate by featuring a wide variety of music and other variety programs. Owned and operated by Christ United Methodist Church and with an all-volunteer staff, Christ Church Radio operates 24/7 with an unusual type format featuring classical music on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and Jazz/Smooth Jazz on Tuesday and Thursday. Variety programs are featured on Saturday. The station operates as a hands-on educational school for training students interested in going into communications and broadcasting. "Memories in Melodies" begins at 8 p.m. on Tuesday and "Jazz with Gil" follows at 9 p.m. "Andee's Favorite Music" is a variety show featuring folk music and other types on Thursday evenings at 9 p.m. Fifties, Sixties and Seventies music is programmed on Saturday afternoons from noon to 5 p.m. with "Charting in the USA". "On the Beach with Charlie Brown" presents beach music from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday evenings and a combination of swing and jazz on Saturday evenings with "Simply Timeless" beginning at 8 p.m. The station switches to 24/7 Christmas music in mid-November each year and continues through the 12 days of Christmas ending on January 5. The Christmas programming is unique and features much more than what is normally heard during the Christmas season on other outlets. "The Seven Weeks of Christmas" contains both sacred and secular songs and features many songs not heard on most stations. Mixed in with the classical music programming is sacred music by famous composers from all over the world. Support for Christ Church Radio comes from the Greensboro Symphony, Music for a Great Space, Bel Canto, Industries of the Blind as well as various business firms, nonprofit organizations and individuals. Contributions to WDFC Radio, a 501(c)(3), are tax deductible. WDFC-FM is a strong local supporter of the arts in Guilford County.

The 2018 Canadian Beef Masters was held from October 23 to 28, at the Rath Eastlink Arena in Truro, Nova Scotia. This was the second Grand Slam and first major of the 2018–19 curling season.

KYJ was a short-lived Los Angeles radio station, located atop Hamburger's department store and licensed to the Leo J. Meyberg Company. It was issued its first license in December 1921 and deleted 11⁄2 years later.
