W. "Cannonball" Johnson was an American professional baseball outfielder who played in the Negro leagues between 1919 and 1923.
Johnson made his professional debut in 1919 with the Brooklyn Royal Giants and the Bacharach Giants. He went on to play three seasons with the Lincoln Giants,and finished his career in 1923 with the Harrisburg Giants. [1] [2]

Louis Santop Loftin was an American baseball catcher in the Negro leagues. He became "one of the earliest superstars" and "black baseball's first legitimate home-run slugger" (Riley),and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006. Some sources show a birth year of 1890,but his Navy records and Baseball Hall of Fame records support the earlier date.
JoséColmenar del Valle Méndez was a Cuban right-handed pitcher and manager in baseball's Negro leagues. Born in Cárdenas,Matanzas,he died at age 43 in Havana. Known in Cuba as El Diamante Negro,he became a legend in his homeland. He was one of the first group of players elected to the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939.
