Capital Curling Fall Open

The Capital Curling Fall Open (known as the Moosehead Fall Open for sponsorship reasons) is an annual bonspiel on the men's Ontario Curling Tour. It is held annually in September at the RCMP Curling Club in Ottawa, Ontario. A women's event was held from 2010 to 2013, and women have participated in the men's event in other years.

After going 3–0 in the women's draw in 2004, Anne Merklinger and her rink of Theresa Breen, Susan Froud and Audrey Reddick entered the open playoffs, and won that event too. [1]

The Ottawa Curling Club is an historic curling club located on O'Connor Street in the Centretown neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is the oldest curling club in Ottawa, established in 1851 by Allan Gilmour as the Bytown Curling Club. The Club first played on the Rideau Canal until 1858. It subsequently moved to different locations around the city until finally settling at its current location on O'Connor in 1916. The John Shea Insurance Canada Cup Qualifier was an annual curling bonspiel held at the Ottawa and Rideau Curling Clubs in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. In odd years, the event was a qualifier for the men's Canada Cup of Curling while in even years the event is the women's qualifier. It was held annually in December, and was part of the World Curling Tour.

The Ontario Tankard is the Southern Ontario provincial championship for men's curling. The winner represents Team Ontario at the Tim Hortons Brier. The tournament is overseen by CurlON.

The AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic is an annual curling tournament, held in September at the Cornwall Curling Centre in Cornwall, Ontario and sponsored by AMJ Campbell Van Lines. It is one of the first curling tournaments of the World Curling Tour season. The tournament is held in honour of the famous ice-maker, Shorty Jenkins. The total purse for the men's event is $59,000 and $29,500 for the women's. The event was held in Brockville, Ontario until 2015 when it was moved down the Saint Lawrence to Cornwall.

The Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts is the Ontario provincial curling championship for women's curling. The tournament is run by CurlON, the curling association for Southern Ontario. The winning team represents Team Ontario at the national Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The 2004 Kärcher Canadian Junior Curling Championships were held February 7–15 at the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre in Victoria, British Columbia. The winning teams represented Canada at the 2004 World Junior Curling Championships.

The 2003 Kärcher Canadian Junior Curling Championships were held February 1–9 at the Rideau and Ottawa Curling Clubs in Ottawa. Teams from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan won both the men's and women's event. Both teams would go on to win gold medals for Canada at the 2003 World Junior Curling Championships. The men's event was won by the Steve Laycock rink from the Sutherland Curling Club, while the women's event was won by the Marliese Miller rink from the Nutana Curling Club.

The 2001 Kärcher Canadian Junior Curling Championships were held February 3-11 at the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club in St. Catharines, Ontario. The winning teams represented Canada at the 2001 World Junior Curling Championships.

The Oakville Fall Classic is an annual bonspiel on the men's and women's World Curling Tour and Ontario Curling Tour. It is held annually in September at the Oakville Curling Club in Oakville, Ontario.

The Mother Club Fall Curling Classic is an annual bonspiel on the men's and women's curling tour. It is held annually in late September at the Granite Curling Club in Winnipeg.

Lee Anne Merklinger is Canadian female curler from Nepean, Ontario. Merklinger played second for the Sherry Middaugh rink on the World Curling Tour from 2010 to 2018. Among the team's accomplishments were finishing runners up at the 2013 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials and winning the 2012 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic Grand Slam event.
