Captain Cupcake was the second mascot for Hostess brand baked goods along with Twinkie the Kid. He was portrayed as an anthropomorphic cupcake which wore a navy blue hat and gave the appearance of being the captain of a ship.

Description

At the character's introduction, he was included on boxes and packages of Hostess Cupcakes but is very rarely seen on the cupcake containers anymore. Captain Cupcake appeared in one animated TV commercial for Hostess when he and two children were trapped in a villain's dungeon but were rescued by Twinkie the Kid. He was voiced by Allen Swift. [1]

Legacy

On 11 AM (PST), September 18, 2019 [2] Funko released Captain Cupcake as their 66th Funko Pop! in the Ad Icons line of figures [3] exclusively on the Funko website. [4] There was also a Platinum version of the figure released. [5]

A Ding Dong is a chocolate cake produced and distributed in the United States by Hostess Brands and in Canada from Vachon Inc. under the name King Dons; in some U.S. markets, it was previously known as Big Wheels. With the exception of a brief period in 2013, the Ding Dong has been produced continuously since 1967. It is round with a flat top and bottom, close to three inches in diameter and slightly taller than an inch, similar in shape and size to a hockey puck. A white creamy filling is injected into the center and a thin coating of chocolate glaze covers the cake. The Ding Dong was originally wrapped in a square of thin aluminum foil, enabling it to be carried in lunches without melting the chocolate glaze.

Gabby's Dollhouse is an American live-action/computer-animated preschool television series created by Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey for Netflix which first premiered on January 5, 2021. In the series, Gabby and her cat friends, called the Gabby Cats, go on adventures within her dollhouse.
