Biography
Captain Squeegee is a seven-piece psychedelic indie-rock band formed in Mesa Arizona in 2002. [4] Originally a ska band, they have no original members [5] and now blend progressive rock, jazz, and theatrical music to create a sound that is experimental and complex, having been described as “...a musical-theorist/band-geeks dream”. [6] The members are musically trained and read/chart music including their original material, and several of them have music degrees. [7] [5] The band has released three albums and an EP. [8] They have toured the southwestern US several times and performed at SXSW, [9] Warped Tour, and several other festivals in Arizona. [10] Captain Squeegee has opened for acts such as Thank You Scientist, Parliament Funkadelic, Foxy Shazaam, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Widespread Panic, and Beck.
Danny Torgersen, lead singer of Captain Squeegee, is currently on tour with Badfish as their trumpet player, and also tours as the trumpet player for Arizona reggae rock band Fayuca.
Arizona State University is a public research university in Tempe, Arizona, United States. Founded in 1885 as Territorial Normal School by the 13th Arizona Territorial Legislature, the university is one of the largest public universities by enrollment in the United States. Meat Puppets are an American rock band formed in January 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona. The group's original lineup was Curt Kirkwood (guitar/vocals), his brother Cris Kirkwood, and Derrick Bostrom (drums). The Kirkwood brothers met Bostrom while attending Brophy Prep High School in Phoenix. The three then moved to Tempe, Arizona, where the Kirkwood brothers purchased two adjacent houses, one of which had a shed in the back where they regularly practiced.

The Sun Devil Marching Band (SDMB), also known as The Pride of the Southwest, is the athletic band of Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. The Sun Devil Marching Band motto is “Expect Great Things.” The acronym EGT is inscribed on a sign that hangs from the director's podium towering over the band's practice field, and is a symbol of the high standards that band members strive to meet. The ASU Band program, which includes the Marching, Pep, and Dixieland bands, is a part of the Sun Devil Athletics department. The band is currently under the direction of Director of Athletic Bands James G. "The Hammer" Hudson, who took over the program in 2006. The Sun Devil Marching Band is a major ambassador for Arizona State University and the state of Arizona. Each year almost 500,000 people are entertained by the band, which plays at home football at Sun Devil Stadium and as a pep band for basketball games at Wells Fargo Arena, homecoming, bowl game parades, other community events in the Valley, across the country, and even abroad.
Packard Stadium was a college baseball park in the southwestern United States, located in Tempe, Arizona, a suburb just east of Phoenix. It was the home field of the Arizona State Sun Devils of the Pac-12 Conference from 1974 to 2014.

Scott Smith is an American businessman and politician, elected as the 38th mayor of Mesa, Arizona, on May 20, 2008. He took office on June 2, 2008 and served until April 16, 2014, when he resigned to run for Governor of Arizona in the Republican Primary. In 2013–14, he was president of the United States Conference of Mayors. He was previously president of both Great Western Homes and K. Hovnanian Homes. He has also worked in finance and as a business consultant.
A Life of Science is an American electronic rock band, based in Phoenix, Arizona. The band is known for their diverse and intricate style, as well as their concept-based multimedia album, The Apneist, which was released in 2009. The band was formed in 2006 by vocalist James (Jimmy) Keenan, guitarist Zakk Geist, and guitarist/keyboard player JD Tate. They incorporate various influences including progressive rock, hardcore, electronica, post-punk and pop rock into their sound.

Brandon Cameron Parks-Decker aka "decker." is an American singer-songwriter based out of Sedona, AZ. He performs and releases albums under the moniker decker. Decker has released 7 albums while consistently touring substantially across the United States. While performing tour stops at traditional music venues, decker. gained notoriety for almost daily impromptu street performances he and his band gave during the course of a 99-show tour for his 2010 release, Long as the Night.
