Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival is an annual food festival held in Cardiff, Wales.
The festival is held over three days during July, from Friday to Sunday, at Roald Dahl Plas (The Oval Basin) in Cardiff Bay, next to the Mermaid Quay complex.
There are over 100 local, national and international producers. There is a Street Food Piazza, a Producers' Fayre and Farmers' Market. The Street Food Piazza is the biggest outdoor street food piazza in Wales, with numerous bars and stalls along the water's edge at Cardiff Bay. There are daily children's workshops for young chefs to create their own dishes. There are also craft stalls and live music. [1]
Grangetown is a district and community in the south of Cardiff, capital of Wales. It is one of the largest districts in the south of the city and is bordered by Riverside, Canton and Butetown. The River Taff winds its way through the area. Adjacent to the city's Cardiff Bay area, Grangetown is experiencing a period of gentrification and improvements in its infrastructure. Its population as of 2011 was 19,385 in 8,261 households. One of the "five towns of Cardiff", the others are Butetown, Crockherbtown, Newtown and Temperance Town.

Roald Dahl Plass is a public space in Cardiff Bay, Cardiff, Wales. It is named after Cardiff-born author Roald Dahl, and is located on the coast along the south of the city centre. The square is home to the Senedd building housing the Senedd, the Welsh parliament, and the Wales Millennium Centre, a performing arts centre. The bowl-like shape of the space has made it a popular amphitheatre for hosting open-air concerts.
Cardiff has many cultural sites varying from the historical Cardiff Castle and out of town Castell Coch to the more modern Wales Millennium Centre and Cardiff Bay. Cardiff was a finalist in the European Capital of Culture 2008.
Newport Market is a traditional Victorian indoor market in Newport, South Wales. It is a Grade II-Listed building in the city centre, owned and operated by Newport City Council. The main structure, completed in 1889, is an early example of a large-span cast iron-frame building featuring a glazed barrel roof. The market re-opened in March 2022 as a multi-purpose food, retail and office space following a £5–6 million renovation.
