Carl Bryce Herbert (born 28 May 1964) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Herbert, who was a Queensland interstate representative at the age of 18, came to Collingwood from Mayne in the 1982 draft. [1] [2] He made three appearances in the 1983 VFL season, the first in round nine, against the Sydney Swans. [3] The following week he had 17 disposals in a loss to Fitzroy, then lost his place in the team with a groin injury. [3] [4] He returned in round 22 to play St Kilda at Victoria Park, which would be his final game. [3]

Back at Mayne, after a stint with West Adelaide, Herbert won three consecutive club best and fairest awards, from 1992 to 1994. [5] [6] He was also Mayne captain in each of those years, as well as the 1995 season. [6]

Aspley's senior best and fairest award is named after Herbert, who had been an Aspley junior. [7]

Josh Wagner (footballer) Australian rules footballer

Josh Wagner is a former professional Australian rules footballer for the Melbourne Football Club in the AFL. A defender, 1.89 metres tall and weighing 84 kilograms (185 lb), Wagner plays primarily on the half-back flank with the ability to push into the midfield. Born into a family with a strong heritage in Queensland Australian rules football, he is also the older brother of fellow Melbourne and former North Melbourne midfielder, Corey Wagner. He played top-level football early when he played in the seniors for the Aspley Football Club in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL) at sixteen years of age, in addition to playing in the 2012 AFL Under 18 Championships for Queensland. He missed out on selection in the 2012 AFL draft, spending the next three seasons at Aspley. His accolades in the NEAFL include a premiership, league representation and selection in the NEAFL team of the year. He was drafted by the Melbourne Football Club in the 2016 rookie draft and he made his AFL debut during the 2016 season.
