On September 2, 2008, [1] Jerez lost a 10 round Unanimous Decision to top Welterweight Prospect, Mexican Canelo Álvarez. [2]
On June 30, 2010, Jerez lost a 12 round Unanimous Decision against Anthony Mundine. [3]
