Carlos Luna (born 1969) is a contemporary Cuban-American painter, sculptor, printmaker, and ceramicist.

Born 1969 in Pinar del Río, Cuba. In 1991 he emigrated to Mexico, where he met and married his wife Claudia Catalina Luna. Carlos remained in Mexico for 10 years, and in 2001 Luna was awarded the EB-1 visa from the United States of America. It affords the recipient and his family permanent residence status in the United States of America. On July 23, 2002, Luna moved to Miami, Florida, with his wife, children, and dog, he currently lives and works in Miami, Florida. In the last few years Luna began exploring different mediums and began working with Magnolia Editions [1] making jacquard tapestries. Luna has also appeared in numerous solo [2] and group exhibitions in the United States, Cuba, Mexico, and abroad.

Among his solo exhibitions are Flower Power [3] (2018) at the Art of the World Gallery, Houston; Carlos Luna. Deep Line, Drawings by Carlos Luna [4] (2017) at Boca Raton Museum of Art, Boca Raton; Carlos Luna. Green Machine: The Art of Carlos Luna [5] (2017), at the Katzen Arts Center of American University, Washington DC; Carlos Luna.

Group exhibitions

In 2018 Luna's work was chosen for Nomadic Murals: Contemporary Tapestries and Artists [6] at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, Boca Raton. In 2011 Carlos Luna: Los Decorados [7] was seen at the Heather James Fine Art Gallery, Palm Beach. In 2019 Crosscurrents: Contemporary Selections from the Rodríguez Collection of Cuban Artists at Foosaner Art Museum, Melbourne, Fl.

Mario Algaze was a Cuban-American photographer who photographed musicians and celebrities, in rural and urban areas, throughout Latin America.

Cundo Bermúdez, born Secundino (Cundo) Bermúdez y Delgado, was a Cuban painter. Born in Havana, Cuba, he died of a heart attack in his Westchester home on October 30, 2008.

Mario Bencomo is an artist. As an unaccompanied minor he was sent by his parents to live in Spain. At the age of 14, he left Madrid for the U.S., arriving by himself in New York City in the 1960s. He often returns to Europe, and for many years now for regular visits to Montreal, Canada. In 1996 he returns to visit Cuba for the first time, three decades after he left. An American Citizen, he is based in Miami.

Juan González was an important twentieth-century Cuban-American painter who rose to international fame in the 1970s and remained active until his death in the 1990s. Born in Cuba, González launched his art career in South Florida during the early 1970s and quickly gained recognition in New York City, where he subsequently relocated in 1972. While in New York González won several fine art awards, including the National Endowment of the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts grant, and the Cintas Fellowship. González's art known is for its distinctive hyperrealism and magical realism elements delivered in a highly personal style with symbolic overtones. His work has been widely exhibited throughout the United States as well as internationally in Europe, Latin America, and Japan. He is included in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, The Carnegie Museum of Art, and Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.

Hubert G. Phipps was an American sculptor and painter who divided his time between Middleburg, Virginia and New York City. Known for his paint pigment drawings and abstract sculptures, Phipps experimented with various forms and materials, including steel, bronze, wood, composites, plaster, glass, and marble. He was also a race car driver and a member of the Phipps family.

Elizabeth Thompson was an American painter whose works have been described by writer and art historian Bonnie Clearwater as "a call to action for the reclamation of Paradise". She has painted the Florida Everglades as "de-peopled visions of a primordial Eden." Thompson lived in Florida and New York City.
