Carlos Reynaldo Lacayo Lacayo (born 1950 in Diriamba, Nicaragua). Studied business administration at Harvard University. Member of the National Committee, INCAE. President or Director of various Nicaraguan and Central American companies including Grupo CALSA, OCAL, S.A. and other transnational corporations. Former president and founding member of the Advertisers' Association of Nicaragua, director of the Central American Federated Chambers of Advertisers, as well as that of FUNDE and INDE.

José Arnoldo Alemán Lacayo is a Nicaraguan politician who served as the 81st president of Nicaragua from 10 January 1997 to 10 January 2002. In 2003, he was convicted of corruption and sentenced to a 20-year prison term; the conviction was overturned by the Supreme Court of Nicaragua in 2009.

Emiliano Chamorro Vargas was a Nicaraguan military figure and politician who served as President of Nicaragua from 1 January 1917 to 1 January 1921, and again as interim president from 14 March to 11 November 1926.
Juan Bautista Sacasa was the President of Nicaragua from 1 January 1933 to 9 June 1936. He was the eldest son of Roberto Sacasa and Ángela Sacasa Cuadra, the former's cousin twice removed. He was a relative of Benjamín Lacayo Sacasa.

The Miss Nicaragua 2014 pageant, was held on March 15, 2014 in Managua, after weeks of events.
The Miss Nicaragua 2015 pageant, was held on March 7, 2015 in Managua, after several weeks of events. At the conclusion of the final night of competition, Daniela Torres Bonilla from Managua won the title. She represented Nicaragua at Miss Universe 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada later that year. The rest of the finalists would enter different pageants.
