Carol O'Leary is a camogie player with the Clare Senior Camogie team.

O'Leary plays at left corner back and won a Munster A championship title in 2012 and was an All Star nominee in 2013 and 2014. O'Leary first played with Clare at primary game level and represented Clare at every level, joining the Senior panel in 2009. O'Leary has played at the Gael Linn inter-pro camogie with Munster. She also plays with the Clare senior football team.

Her club is Newmarket on Fergus with whom she plays camogie and football. In 2015 Newmarket won the county senior Camogie league and championship with O'Leary receiving player of the game in both finals. O'Leary has won six senior county camogie championships and nine league titles, she has also won camogie titles at all under-age grades. O'Leary is the current captain of her club football team and has been for the previous five years, leading them to take Junior A, Junior B, Intermediate and two Senior B Clare titles. As a member of the Clare senior football panel O'Leary won a national league title in 2011.

O'Leary studied Science Education at University of Limerick and is now a science teacher. In 2014 O'Leary played a starring role in UL's Ashbourne victory over WIT.

Valley Rovers GAA Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the parish of Innishannon in County Cork, Ireland. The club was formed in 1919 when two teams in the parish, Innishannon and Knockavilla, came together. The club fields teams in hurling, camogie, Gaelic football and Ladies' football. It participates in the Carrigdhoun division of Cork GAA.

Joseph M. Quaid is an Irish hurling manager and former player. He was the manager of the Westmeath senior team in 2019.

Rena Buckley is an Irish sportswoman who played at senior level for both the Cork county ladies' football team and the Cork county camogie team. She has also represented Munster in the Gael Linn Cup and Ireland at international rules. Between 2005 and 2017 she won 18 All-Ireland winners medals, making her one of the most decorated sportspeople in Gaelic games. In 2012 she captained Cork when they won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship and in 2017 she captained Cork when they won the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship. She was the first player to captain Cork to both All-Ireland senior championships. She was also named as an All Star on eleven occasions. In 2015 Buckley and her team mate and fellow dual player, Briege Corkery, were named joint winners of the 2015 The Irish Times/ Sport Ireland Sportswoman of the Year Award.

The 2012 All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship—known as the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship in association with RTÉ Sport for sponsorship reasons— is the premier competition of the 2012 camogie season. It commenced on 23 June 2012 and ended with the final on 16 September. Eight county teams compete in the Senior Championship out of twenty-seven who compete overall in the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Championships. Wexford defeated Cork in the final. The championship was notable for the qualification of Offaly for the All-Ireland semi-final just three years after they had been graded junior. Quarter-final stages of the championships were re-introduced for the first time since 2006. The 2012 championship was the first to be held under new rules which allowed two points for a point direct from a sideline ball.

Newmarket-on-Fergus GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the village of Newmarket-on-Fergus, in County Clare, Ireland. The club has the distinction of winning the first ever Clare Senior Football Championship and has won the Clare Senior Hurling Championship more times than any other club. In 2012 they won their first Senior Hurling title in 31 years, defeating Cratloe in the final. They have under 6+ hurling, under 8+ camogie, under 10+ ladies football and under 8-12 football teams.

Naomi Carroll is an Irish Olympian and Ireland women's field hockey international. In 2015–16 Carroll won a Women's Irish Hockey League title with Hermes. Carroll has also played both camogie and ladies' Gaelic football at senior inter-county level for Clare and represented the Republic of Ireland women's national under-17 football team.

Seán O'Leary-Hayes is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Midleton and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-back.
