Caroline Elisabeth Larsson (born in Askim, Sweden on 28 September 1986) is a Swedish singer, songwriter.

Career

Born in Askim, Gothenburg, Caroline Larsson began writing songs when she was 16–17 years old. [1] She also played guitar and harmonica and wrote her own material. [2] In 2008, Larsson released her debut album In the Moment on her own label Weeki Records in association with Universal Music, which included the single "Hold on My Heart" written by Per Gessle. [3] She opened for Manfred Mann's Earth Band for their Scandinavian tour in 2009 [3] and in conjunction with the release of her second album Me and I in 2011, she toured jointly with Plura Jonsson, Carla Jonsson from Eldkvarn and Anders Ekborg. [1] In the autumn the same year she recorded a tribute to Eva Cassidy together with Bengt Mangnusson. [4] She released her album Rebel Thinker in 2014 produced by Amir Aly. [2] Larsson performed the songs live together with her Music City Band, which resulted in the album Nashville Country Night: Live released in October 2014. [5]

Eva Marie Cassidy was an American singer and guitarist known for her interpretations of jazz, folk, and blues music, born with a powerful, emotive soprano voice. In 1992, she released her first album, The Other Side, a set of duets with go-go musician Chuck Brown, followed by the 1996 live solo album titled Live at Blues Alley. Although she had been honored by the Washington Area Music Association, she was virtually unknown outside her native Washington, D.C. She died of melanoma in 1996 at the age of 33.

At the Gates Swedish melodic death metal band

At the Gates is a Swedish death metal band from Gothenburg. The band was a major progenitor of Gothenburg-style melodic death metal. They were initially active from 1990 to 1996, reforming in 2007 for a tour between April and September 2008. In 2011, they reformed again and have since continued to perform. They released At War with Reality, their first album in 19 years, in late 2014.

Kim Carnes American singer-songwriter

Kim Carnes is an American singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she began her career as a songwriter in the 1960s, writing for other artists while performing in local clubs and working as a session background singer with the famed Waters sisters. After she signed her first publishing deal with Jimmy Bowen, she released her debut album Rest on Me in 1972. Carnes' self-titled second album primarily contained self-penned songs, including her first charting single "You're a Part of Me", which reached No. 35 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in 1975. In the following year, Carnes released Sailin', which featured "Love Comes from Unexpected Places". The song won the American Song Festival and the award for Best Composition at the Tokyo Song Festival in 1976.
