The Chesapeake Bayhawks were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) professional men's field lacrosse team based in Annapolis, Maryland since 2010. They played in the greater Baltimore metro area beginning with the MLL's inaugural 2001 season, as the Baltimore Bayhawks from 2001–2006 and as the Washington Bayhawks from 2007–2009.

John Christopher Grant Jr. is a professional lacrosse player who has played in Major League Lacrosse, the National Lacrosse League, and the Ontario Lacrosse Association. Grant Jr. was named men's lacrosse Offensive Coordinator at Johns Hopkins in 2020.
The Denver Outlaws were a Major League Lacrosse professional men's field lacrosse team based in Denver, Colorado, United States. They began playing in the MLL in 2006 as an expansion team.

The Lt. Raymond Enners Award is an award given annually to the NCAA's most outstanding player in men's college lacrosse. The award is presented by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) and is named after 1st Lt. Raymond J. Enners, who attended the United States Military Academy, class of 1967, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. While leading a platoon, he was killed in combat on September 18, 1968. Enners received the Distinguished Service Cross, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Purple Heart for extraordinary heroism in combat in South Vietnam. He was a member of the 1963 All-Long Island lacrosse team, a 1967 USILA Honorable Mention All-American, and was inducted into the Suffolk County Hall of Fame in 2004. The award was first given in the season immediately after his death. The Lt. Ray Enners Award, another award named after Lt. Enners, is presented annually by the Suffolk County Boys Lacrosse Coaches Association to the outstanding high school player in Suffolk County, New York. Frank Urso is the only athlete who has won both awards, in 1972 and 1975. In 2016, Richard Enners authored the book "Heart of Gray", the story about his brother LT. Raymond J. Enners, Alpha Company, 1-20th Infantry, 11th Brigade and his courage and sacrifice in Vietnam.
Wes Green is a professional lacrosse player with the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse and the Washington Stealth of the National Lacrosse League. Originally from the West Torrens Lacrosse Club in Adelaide, South Australia, Green played on the Australian National Team in the 2006 World Games in London. Wes Green played his college ball at Adelphi University where he Earned several honours during his senior season (2006) at Adelphi, including: USILA Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award, USILA Lt. Col. J.I. Turnbull Award, First Team All-American, ECC Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, ECC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Inside Lacrosse Magazine First Team Preseason All-American. Green now plays in the Victorian state league and coaches at Williamstown Lacrosse Club in Melbourne. He played 14 games in 2010 for Williamstown in the State league and scored 37 goals with a high scoring game of 9 goals.

Jim Beardmore is a former All-American lacrosse goalie, and coach. He was formerly the head coach for the Hamburg Warriors B-Team. He is the son of former University of Maryland coach and Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductee Clayton "Buddy" Beardmore.

The Loyola Greyhounds men's lacrosse team represents Loyola University Maryland in NCAA Division I lacrosse. Its home matches are played at the Ridley Athletic Complex. Charley Toomey has served as its head coach since 2006. It became a member of the Patriot League along with the university's other intercollegiate athletic programs on July 1, 2013. The Greyhounds were a member of the ECAC Lacrosse League from 2005 to 2013. It became the first member of the conference to win a national championship in 2012. It was also the first national title in the university's Division I history.
Richard Irving Edell was an American lacrosse coach. He served as the head coach for the University of Maryland, United States Military Academy, and University of Baltimore's men's lacrosse teams. Edell was inducted into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2004, at which time he held the second-most NCAA tournament appearances of any head coach.
The North Carolina Tar Heels men's lacrosse team represents the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's lacrosse. North Carolina currently competes as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and plays its home games at Fetzer Field and Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Their main rivalry series is with fellow ACC member Duke.
The Towson Tigers men's lacrosse team represents Towson University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college lacrosse. The coach is currently Shawn Nadelen, who is in his fifth year at that position. The team plays its home games in Johnny Unitas Stadium. Towson has competed in the Colonial Athletic Association for lacrosse since 2002, with the conference tournament format commencing in 2003. Daniel F. Cocoziello is a lacrosse defenseman who plays professional field lacrosse in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL). He starred as a member of the Princeton Tigers men's lacrosse team from 2005 through 2008 where he started every game. He is the only defenseman to have earned the Men's Ivy League Rookie of the Year. He was a three-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American and three-time All-Ivy League selection. During his college career, Princeton earned an Ivy League championship and two NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship invitations. In high school, he won three state lacrosse championships.
Trevor R. Tierney is a current National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men's lacrosse assistant coach, former Major League Lacrosse (MLL) defensive coordinator and retired lacrosse goaltender who has played professional box lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and professional field lacrosse in MLL. Trevor starred as a member of the Princeton Tigers men's lacrosse team from 1998 through 2001, where he was an NCAA goaltender of the year, two-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American, a national goals against average (GAA) and save percentage statistical champion and a member of two national champion teams.
The 2019 Major League Lacrosse season was the 19th season of Major League Lacrosse. The regular season began on Friday, May 31 and ended on Sunday, September 22. It was the first time the league would ever begin its season after Memorial Day, allowing all players selected in the collegiate draft to play a full season. 2019 also marks the first time each team would play 16 games. The league has played a 14-game schedule since 2012. Additionally, the league returned to a Championship Weekend format instead of a two-week postseason for the first time since 2013. Championship Weekend was hosted in Denver with two semifinal games on Friday, October 4 and the 19th Steinfeld Cup was hosted at Dick's Sporting Goods Park October 6 on ESPN2.
The 2021 Premier Lacrosse League season will be the third season for the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). 2021 will represent a return to the tour-based format that the league followed in 2019 after playing a bubble tournament in 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns. 2021 also represents a return to one unified professional Field Lacrosse format after Major League Lacrosse and the Premier Lacrosse League announced they were merging on December 16, 2020. This monumental merger sees the Cannons Lacrosse Club moving from the MLL to the PLL as an 8th team set by expansion draft. Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club are competing as two-time defending league champions.
