Casey Comber (born 4 November 1996) is an American middle distance runner who competes for Under Armour. [2]

Contents

Early life

Comber attended Hatboro-Horsham Senior High School in Pennsylvania before studying Finance at Villanova University. [3]

Career

While competing for the Villanova, he notably finished second in the mile at the 2019 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships.

In April 2023, Comber finished runner-up to Hobbs Kessler at the BAA Invitational mile in Boston, Massachusetts. [4] That same month, Comber finished runner-up at the USATF One Mile Championship. [5]

In June 2023, Comber ran a personal best time of 3:34.24 for the 1500m at the Meeting Nikaia in Nice, France. [6]

In November 2023, Comber won bronze at the Athletics at the 2023 Pan American Games – Men's 1500 metres in Santiago, Chile. [7]

Weini Kelati Frezghi is an Eritrean-born American middle- and long-distance runner. She claimed asylum in the United States in July 2014 and subsequently achieved multiple victories in state- and national-level competitions while attending Heritage High School in Leesburg, Virginia. While competing for the University of New Mexico, Kelati won the 2019 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. In June 2021, she became a U.S. citizen and began competing as an American. Kelati set an American record of 1:06.25 for the half marathon in January 2024. She runs professionally for Under Armour on the group Dark Sky Distance.

Hobbs Kessler is an American middle and long-distance runner. He competes professionally for Adidas, having turned professional directly after high school. He holds the North American U20 record in the 1500 meters, having run 3:34.36 at the Portland Track Festival in May 2021. He also holds the American high school record for the indoor mile, with a time of 3:57.66 set in February 2021. He was named the 2021 Gatorade National Track and Field Athlete of the Year. Prior his breakout running year, Hobbs was a world-class rock climber. He's stated that one of his goals is to be the first person to run a sub-four-minute mile, climb a 5.15 (9b/+) and a V15 (8C).
