History

Cashaa was founded in 2016 by Kumar Gaurav and Amjad Raza Khan. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] The company is headquartered in London, England. [11] [12] [13] [14]

The company acts as a financial platform that integrates cryptocurrency services with traditional banking. [15] [16] Initially launched as a peer-to-peer cash transfer system, Cashaa expanded its services in 2019 to include banking services for cryptocurrency businesses such as Crypto Wallets, Loans, Investments and Banking Accounts. [17] [18] [19]

In 2018, Cashaa introduced their own cryptocurrency token CAS. The CAS token has multiple utilities, including speedy application processing, discounted setup fees, cheaper international wire costs, rebates in exchange and transaction fees. The token is listed on cryptocurrency exchanges, including KuCoin, Bitbns, and MEXC. [20]

In October 2020, Cashaa partnered with the United Multistate Credit Cooperative Society (UNICAS) to open its bank branches in India. The first branch was opened in Jaipur, India. [21] [22] [23]

In May 2024, Kumar Gaurav stepped down as CEO, and Amjad Raza Khan, the former CTO, was appointed as the new CEO. [24] [25] [26]

As of August 2024, OKX is Top 3 Spot Cryptocurrency exchange in the world according to Coinmarketcap with a Spot Exchange Score of 7.8.
