Cassandra Ciangherotti (born 14 February 1987) is a Mexican actress and producer, [1] best known for her role in the 2015 Mexican drama film The Hours with You , [2] for which she was nominated for an Ariel Award for Best Supporting Actress in that same year. [3] The following year she was nominated in the same category at the Ariel Awards, for her participation in the film Tiempos felices (2014). [4]
Cassandra is the daughter of Fernando Luján and Adriana Parra. She is the granddaughter of the Argentine actor Alejandro Ciangherotti, and the younger sister of actors Fernando Ciangherotti and Vanessa Ciangherotti. [5]

The Ariel Award for Best Supporting Actress is an award presented by the Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas (AMACC) in Mexico. It is given in honor of an actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a supporting role while working within the Mexican film industry. In 1947, the 1st and 2nd Ariel Awards were held, with Lilia Michel winning in both ceremonies for the films Un Beso en la Noche and Vértigo, respectively. With the exception of the years 1959 to 1971, when the Ariel Awards were suspended, the award has been given annually. Nominees and winners are determined by a committee formed every year consisting of academy members, previous winners and individuals with at least two Ariel nominations; the committee members submit their votes through the official AMACC website.

El club de los insomnes or El refugio de los insomnes is a 2018 Mexican drama film directed and written by José Eduardo Giordano, and Sergio Goyri Jr. The film premiered on 15 June 2018, and stars Alejandra Ambrosi, Cassandra Ciangherotti, and Leonardo Ortizgris. The plot revolves around a friendship between a man suffering from insomnia, an aspiring photographer and a woman who is not sure about her pregnancy. They meet every night in a mini-mart. The film was available for streaming in worldwide on Netflix on 30 November 2018.
