In the United States, "Price Tag" peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 causing the song to appear on the 2011 compilation album Now That's What I Call Music! 39. Additionally, the song charted at number one in eight countries, becoming Jessie J's biggest hit to date. The song was also the biggest-selling collaboration of the year in the UK. At the 2012 Brit Awards, "Price Tag" was nominated for Best British Single.
The Voice is an Australian singing competition television series. It premiered on the Nine Network on 14 April 2012, before moving to the Seven Network in 2021. Based on the original The Voice of Holland, and part of The Voice franchise, its first nine seasons aired on the Nine Network, with its tenth season commencing on the Seven Network on 8 August 2021.

The Voice UK is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The first series began on 24 March 2012 and ended on 2 June 2012. The show was co-presented by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates on BBC One. The series was won by Leanne Mitchell, who was on Tom Jones' team. Becky Hill, who was on Jessie J’s team and eliminated in the fifth live show (semi-final) of the competition, reached Number One in the UK Singles Chart as a guest vocalist on the hit song, "Gecko (Overdive)" alongside Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens.
The Voice UK is a British singing competition television series. Created by John de Mol and Roel van Velzen, it premiered on BBC One during the spring television cycle on 24 March 2012. Based on the original The Voice of Holland, and part of The Voice franchise, it has aired twelve series and aims to find currently unsigned singing talent contested by aspiring singers, drawn from public auditions. The winners receive a recording contract with Universal Music Group. Winners of each series have been: Leanne Mitchell, Andrea Begley, Jermain Jackman, Stevie McCrorie, Kevin Simm, Mo Adeniran, Ruti Olajugbagbe, Molly Hocking, Blessing Chitapa, Craig Eddie, Anthonia Edwards and Jen & Liv.

Ryan O'Shaughnessy is an Irish singer and former actor from Loughshinny, Skerries, Dublin. He portrayed Mark Halpin in the popular TV series Fair City for nine years (2001–2010). In January 2012, he appeared in the inaugurative season of The Voice of Ireland and in May 2012, he took part in sixth series of Britain's Got Talent making it to the final and finishing in fifth place. He represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Together" finishing 16th.
Rebecca Claire Hill is an English singer and songwriter. She rose to fame after appearing on the first series of The Voice UK, auditioning with John Legend's "Ordinary People". She joined Jessie J's team and reached the semi-final of the competition.

Union J are an English pop group, consisting of members JJ Hamblett, Jaymi Hensley, George Shelley and Josh Cuthbert. Shelley left the group in 2016 and was replaced by Casey Johnson, who left several months later, Cuthbert left the group in 2018 leaving the band as duo until they disbanded in 2019. The band formed in 2011, originally as a trio known as Triple J, consisting of Cuthbert, Hamblett and Hensley. They auditioned for the ninth series of the British television music competition The X Factor where they met Shelley who joined the band at the judges' request. They were the tenth contestant eliminated and were subsequently signed to Sony Music subsidiary RCA Records. Their debut single "Carry You" was released in June 2013. Their self-titled debut studio album followed in October 2013 and peaked at number 6 on the UK Albums Chart.

Emma Willis and Marvin Humes co-presented the show for the first time, replacing Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates.
Collabro were a UK-based musical theatre group and winners of the eighth series of Britain's Got Talent in 2014. The group consisted of Michael Auger, Jamie Lambert, Matthew Pagan, Thomas J. Redgrave and Richard Hadfield, who left the band in June 2016. Collabro was voted the UK's favourite Britain's Got Talent Winners in a National Poll. The band have a following who they refer to as their "Collaborators" and famous fans include Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix.
Fleur Lillibeth Yolande East is an English singer-songwriter, rapper and presenter. East competed on the second series of The X Factor in 2005 as part of the girl group Addictiv Ladies but was unsuccessful. In 2012, she signed with Strictly Rhythm and released songs with dance musicians including Drumsound & Bassline Smith and released One in a Million" (2013), which peaked at number fifty three on the UK Singles Chart. As a solo act she returned to The X Factor for its eleventh series, and finished in second place.
The sixth season of The Voice began on 24 April 2017. Delta Goodrem was the only coach to reprise her role from the fifth season. She was joined by returning coach, Seal, returning for his third season after a three-year absence and new additions Boy George and Kelly Rowland, replacing Jessie J, The Madden Brothers and Ronan Keating, respectively. Judah Kelly from Team Delta won the competition on 2 July 2017, marking Goodrem's second and final win as a coach.
