Caveman is an American indie rock band based in Brooklyn, New York. [1] The band recorded their first studio album in 2011. Although originally self-released, the album was re-released by Fat Possum Records in 2012. [2] Caveman performed at SXSW 2013 [3] and Sasquatch Festival 2013. [4] The band's musical style is a mixture of indie rock and indie pop. Caveman also performed at the Bonnaroo 2014 Arts and Music Festival.

The album was released on September 27, 2011 on the independent record label Fat Possum Records. It peaked at No. 41 on the Independent Albums and No. 8 on the Top Heatseekers charts of Billboard. While no official singles were released, two of the songs were made available on Bandcamp prior to the album's release and two videos were made in support of the album.
