Celeste Perrault is a fictional character on the soap opera Days of Our Lives . The character is well known for her psychic abilities in the series. [1] Celeste was portrayed by Tanya Boyd and Beverly Todd.
Tanya Boyd portrayed Celeste from 1994 to October 2007. In 2012, it was originally confirmed that Boyd would reprise the role of Celeste later that year [1] however, it was then confirmed that, due to scheduling conflicts, Beverly Todd would take over the role for a seven-to-ten episode arc. Todd debuted April 3, 2012. [2] A first look at Todd's appearance on the drama was released on January 23, 2012, by Soap Opera Digest . [3] Fellow actress Renée Jones (who plays her onscreen daughter) praised Boyd's appearance and has stated she is very happy to work with her. [4]
Celeste was introduced in April 1994 as Stefano DiMera's confidante and former lover at the Maison Blanche plantation in New Orleans. Celeste is a Creole woman whose past is originally shrouded in secrecy. Later, it is revealed that she is Lexie Carver's "Aunt Frankie." In 1996, however, Lexie finds out that Celeste is her mother, and that she has been adopted by her "Aunt Frankie's" sister, Grace.
Taking a break from Salem, Celeste travels the world. During her travels she spends time in Tibet, becoming in tune with the spiritual world. It is here she hones her psychic powers and after premonitions of Lexie's health and happiness, Celeste returns to Salem. Celeste stands by helpless, as Lexie is consumed by her devotion to her son Isaac and her DiMera heritage.
Celeste tries to bring Lexie and her husband Abe back together, but her attempts seem futile as Abe wants no part of his DiMera wife. When Zack and Hope are kidnapped, Celeste believes her daughter has fallen far enough to be part of this ugly crime, however Lexie is not. Hope has been kidnapped by her former husband, Larry Welch.
Since then, Celeste has largely reformed and stayed out of Stefano's grip, but falls back from time to time due to her psychic abilities, and is very much in demand to help solve police cases. She is instrumental in predicting who the Salem Stalker victimizes in 2003 and 2004.
Celeste has not been seen for years when in the spring of 2012, she runs into the Carver living room, urging Lexie to see a doctor right away. Celeste tells her daughter to have the tests done that day because she is in terrible danger. It turns out that Celeste's fears are valid. Lexie has an inoperable brain tumor.
But, before Lexie dies, Celeste has a piece of good news to share. It turns out that Celeste has recently reconnected with her long-lost son, Cameron Davis. Celeste explains that Cameron was taken away from her when he was five years old, and she has not mentioned him before because the situation is too painful to discuss.
Lexie is happy to meet and spend time with her new brother, even if it is for a short period. When Lexie dies, Celeste, Cameron and the rest of Lexie's family gather to mourn their loss and celebrate Lexie's life.
After the funeral, Celeste moves back to Chicago, but continues to visit Salem from time to time.
In 2020, Candace Young and Charlie Mason from Soaps She Knows put Celeste on their list of Daytime's Most Important African-American Characters, commenting that "As a clairvoyant, Tanya Boyd's former character surely could have predicted that she was going to be included on this list. She wouldn't even have had to pull out the crystal ball, for Pete's sake." [5]

Created by head writer Margaret DePriest, the role of Carrie has been most notably portrayed by Christie Clark, who took over the role in 1986 as a teenager. Clark remained with the series from April 1986 to January 1991 and from December 1992 to November 1999. She returned in 2005, leaving in October 2006, and returned in September 2011 as part of a reboot of the series. Her return was short-lived; she left the show the following July. Kayla was created by Pat Falken Smith as one of the original members of the Brady family. She is known for her popular pairing with Steve Johnson. This relationship gave the couple the title of a famous super couple. Kayla was described as being the "good" girl of the serial. Sami Brady is a fictional character from Days of Our Lives, an American soap opera on the NBC network, portrayed by Alison Sweeney since 1993. The character is first seen as a newborn baby in the episode of October 16, 1984, in which mom Marlena Evans gives birth to her and her twin brother Eric Brady. Initially played by a series of child actresses, Sweeney took over the role of Sami when the character was rapidly-aged from a pre-teen to a teenager, in January 1993, under the pen of head writers Sheri Anderson and James E. She has been played by actress Deidre Hall since 1976, but the character was absent from the show from 1987 to August 1991 and again from January 2009 to September 2011. Marlena was created by scriptwriter Pat Falken Smith and executive producer Betty Corday, and has become one of Days of our Lives' most well-known characters. Hall made her debut on the soap on June 21, 1976, currently making her the second longest running actress on the serial, surpassed only by Suzanne Rogers.
Taylor Walker is a fictional character from the American NBC soap opera, Days of Our Lives, a long-running series about working-class life in the fictional town of Salem. The character was reintroduced in 2011, by former General Hospital actresses Natalia Livingston and Tamara Braun, the latter of whom also portrayed the character of Ava Vitali on the same show. Theo Carver is a fictional character from Days of Our Lives, an American soap opera on the NBC network. Created under head writer Dena Higley, Theo was born onscreen in 2003. The character was portrayed by two sets of twins and three child actors, Chase and Tyler Johnson (2003–2004), Kavi Faquir (2006–2007), Amyrh Harris (2007), Terrell Ransom Jr. from (2008-2015), Kyler Pettis (2015–2018), Cameron Johnson (2020–present). Along with several other child characters, Theo was rapidly aged in November 2015 and Pettis stepped into the role. Pettis announced his departure from the series in 2017 and he vacated the role in 2018. After a two-year absence, Theo was recast when Johnson took over the role in 2020.
Cameron Davis is a fictional character from the daytime soap opera, Days of Our Lives, portrayed by Nathan Owens. The character was created by then head writers Marlene McPherson and Darrell Ray Thomas, Jr. He started appearing in 2010 and was introduced under executive producers, Lisa De Cazotte and Greg Meng in 2012 as the previously unmentioned son of Celeste Perrault, and younger half-brother of Lexie Carver. The role was originated by Schuyler Yancey, but was recast with Owens, who made his debut in late 2012. In addition to joining the staff at the local hospital, Cameron is also a romantic interest for Abigail Deveraux and romantic rival of her ex-boyfriend, Chad DiMera. Cameron's most controversial storyline involved the character's secret life, moonlighting as a male stripper to help his mother make ends meet and to pay back student loans. In late 2013, the character was written out of the series.
