Cemil Mengi (born 30 September 1986 in West Berlin) is a Turkish footballer who plays for CFC Hertha 06.

Mengi came through the ranks of Türkiyemspor Berlin as a youth player before moving to Turkey where he made 4 appearances for Çaykur Rizespor in the Süper Lig. [1] As of 2012, the attacking midfielder is playing for BFC Viktoria 1889.

The 2019–20 Süper Lig, officially called the Süper Lig Cemil Usta season, was the 62nd season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier football league of Turkey. The season was named after Cemil Usta, a former Turkey national team player and Trabzonspor legend. Galatasaray were the defending champions. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced on 12 March 2020 that matches would be played behind closed doors until the end of April, before indefinitely suspending matches altogether on 19 March. After a hiatus of nearly three months, the season resumed behind closed doors on 12 June 2020, with eight rounds still to play. The season ended with matches played on 26 July 2020, and without relegations.

The 1973–76 Balkan Cup was the 11th Balkan Cup football tournament. It was the first tournament played in a knockout system with semi-finals and finals. It was played between April 1973 and November 1976 between Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. The tournament was won by Bulgaria over Romania via the away goal rule, the score being 3–3 in the two legs of the final. The top goalscorer was Cemil Turan from Turkey with 4 goals.
