The Laois County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Laois GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Laois. The county board is also responsible for the Laois county teams.

Coill Dubh Hurling Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in County Kildare, Ireland, winner of eleven senior hurling championships. Three Coill Dubh players, Seamus Malone, Tony Carew and Tommy Carew were chosen on the Kildare hurling team of the millennium. The club played in every county final between 1990 and 2005 with the exception of 1992. Colm Byrne was selected on the Leinster hurling squad in 1997.

Bernard Flynn is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for the Meath county team. As a teenager he attended secondary school in St Mary's of Drogheda. He enjoyed success play inter-county football in the 1980s and early 1990s on the Meath teams managed by Sean Boylan. For Meath he usually played at corner forward. He played club football for St Colmcille's of East Meath up to the 1991 season when he moved to St Joseph's (Laois) and then to Mullingar Shamrocks (Westmeath).

St Vincent's Hurling and Football Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Blarney Street and Sundays Well parts of Cork city, Ireland. It also includes in its catchment area Gurranabraher, Churchfield and Knocknaheeny. Teams are fielded in Gaelic football, hurling and camogie. The club participates in Cork GAA competitions and in Seandún board competitions. The greatest achievements in the club's history was winning the 1968 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship and the 2006 & 2012 Premier Intermediate Football Championship. As a result, they were promoted to senior status after both Premier Intermediate Football Championship wins but were not able to maintain senior status. The club now plays in the Premier Intermediate Football Championship and Junior A Hurling Championship.
Clonguish GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling club in Newtownforbes, County Longford, Ireland. The club was formed on 20 October 1889 and was originally called Clonguish Gallowglasses. Situated in the west of County Longford, it is bordered by four parishes in County Longford, Drumlish, Killoe, Killashee and Templemichael (Longford) – the parish also shares a common boundary with the Province of Connacht in that it adjoins the parishes of Bornacoola and Gortletteragh in County Leitrim and Tarmonbarry in County Roscommon. The Irish for Clonguish is Cluain Geis which means 'The Meadow of the Swans'.
The 1985 Ford Open Draw Cup was a Gaelic Games competition arranged by the Gaelic Athletic Association as follow-on to the high successful 1984 Centenary Cup. This was a far less popular event and there was widespread resistance. A number of counties refused to participate. The hurling competition was won by Tipperary and the football competition was won by Kerry.
The Mid Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Mid Tipperary Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1907 for senior hurling teams in Mid Tipperary, Ireland.
The 2020 International Rules Series was to be the 21st International Rules Series contested by Gaelic footballers from Ireland and Australian footballers from Australia. The series would have been held in Ireland and was to be the first series to be arranged by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and Australian Football League (AFL) since November 2017. It was cancelled in April 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Ireland.
The 2020 Munster Senior Football Championship Final was played at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on 22 November 2020. It was contested by Tipperary and Cork. Tipperary won a first title since 1935, doing so in the home ground of their opponent. This was also the first time since 1992 that neither Cork nor Kerry won the competition.
