The Center for Agriculture, Science, and Environmental Education (CASEE) is a half-day STEM program of the Battle Ground Public Schools district, located on an 80-acre outdoor campus in Brush Prairie, Washington, US. [1] It offers high school students an integrated curriculum in science and English through immersive and interactive learning experiences. [2] Students spend half of their regular school day at CASEE on a three-hour block schedule, studying courses such as Biology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Wildlife, Chemistry, Agroecology, Microbiology, Agricultural and Industrial Biotechnology, and English Language Arts. [3] [4]
Founded in the early 1990s, CASEE was created to give high school students a hands-on science-based education using an 80-acre outdoor campus leased from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. [5] Since then, it has expanded to include integrated English courses, environmental research projects, and community programs such as greenhouse operations and K-5 field trips. [6]
