Central Valley Baptist Church is a baptist church located in Manteca, California; centered in between the cities of Stockton and Modesto. [1] Along with the English-language auditorium, the church also houses a Spanish-language ministry, which is sometimes named Iglesia Bautista del Valle Central, other ministries include Filipino-language, Singles, Young Married Couples, Bus/Shuttle, Nursing Home, Youth, and Teen. Margaret Nicholl Laird was an American missionary of the Baptist Mid-Missions who worked in the French colony of Ubangi-Shari and independent Central African Republic (CAR) from 1922 until the 1960s. She was one of the founders and longest serving missionaries of the Baptist Mid-Missions in the CAR. In recognition of her service as a medical missionary and her many other activities in the CAR, Margaret was awarded the French Legion of Honor (1952), the Central African Republic Knight of the Order of Merit (1961), the Distinguished Alumni of the Year of the Women's College of Colorado (1962), and the Anna Eleanor Roosevelt Memorial Award for the Daughters of Hadassah (1962).

The American Baptist Home Mission Society is a Christian missionary society. The Ohio Valley Association of the Christian Baptist Churches of God is a Holiness Baptist denomination in the Ohio Valley area of the United States. It was formed January 3, 1931 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Four churches—Firebrick Chapel of Firebrick, Kentucky; Westwood Mission of Ashland, Kentucky; Mabert Road Church and North Moreland Church, both of Portsmouth, Ohio—were the original constituents of the organization.
