Fictional character biography

Ch'p's early history is recounted in Green Lantern Corps #203. A native of the planet H'lven, he helps defend it from Doctor Ub'x and his army. He is captured and sentenced to death, but the Guardians of the Universe rescue him and recruit him into the Green Lantern Corps. [3]

In Crisis on Infinite Earths , the multiverse is destroyed, and Ch'p and Ub'x are among the few who remember the previous timeline. [4] They eventually reconcile and become friends before Ch'p is hit and killed by a yellow tractor-trailer. [5] [1] Afterward, B'dg replaces him as the Green Lantern of Sector 1014.

Ch'p has largely remained dead since. In Blackest Night , he returns as a Black Lantern before Guy Gardner kills him. [6]
