Chalky Mount

Chalky Mount is a rugged picturesque range of hills in Saint Andrew, Barbados, forming a jagged profile against the horizon when viewed from the east coast - commonly called Napoleon's Head. [1]

Chalky Mount has considerable clay deposits and is the home of the potteries, one of Barbados' most important cottage industries, established in the nineteenth century.

Combermere School

Combermere School is a school in Barbados. It was initially established in 1695 as the Drax Parish School by the 1682 will of Colonel Henry Drax. The school underwent several name changes and relocations until it settled at Waterford, St. Michael, on the outskirts of Bridgetown, Barbados, with the present site dating to 1819. The school, named after a colonial governor of Barbados, Stapleton Cotton, 1st Viscount Combermere, bears tribute to some of the school forefathers through the naming of areas such as the Drax Square, the De Vere Moore Gardens, and the Major Noot Hall.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgetown is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church in the Caribbean. The diocese encompasses the entirety of the former British dependency of Barbados. The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain, and a member of the Antilles Episcopal Conference.

The Barbados Transport Board is the government owned bus transport provider in the country of Barbados. The headquarters is located at Kays House, Roebuck Street, while the main terminal is at Fairchild Street in Saint Michael. The other three terminals are: the Constitution River Terminal (located just across the river from the Main Terminal, The Princess Alice Terminal also in Bridgetown, Saint Michael and the Speightstown Terminal in Speightstown, Saint Peter in the north. Also, the three bus depots are located at Weymouth, Saint Michael, Oistins, Christ Church and Mangrove, Saint Philip.

Hobart Welded Steel House Company was a company that manufactured 22 pre-fabricated steel houses in Troy, Ohio, from 1932 to 1941. The company and all 22 houses were located in Troy, Ohio. This article is about the firm and also provides a List of Hobart Welded Steel House Company houses. Sixteen of the houses built by the company, in addition to three garages and a shed, were listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1989. Ten of the houses are located on Hobart Circle and Hobart Drive in the Hobart Circle Historic District. Five other houses are extant, but have not been listed on the NRHP. The five non-listed properties are located in Edgehill, but were not deemed to have sufficient historic integrity to support listing on the NRHP. Salt Pans, Portland

The Salt Pans are two salt pans on the Isle of Portland, Dorset, England. Both pans sit next to one another, and are situated on the coastline of East Weares, the east side of Portland. The pans sit directly below the Young Offenders Institution HM Prison Portland, and are found close to various old historic relics such as the East Weare Rifle Range, Folly Pier, King's Pier and the remains of the Folly Pier Waterworks. The East Weares area, including the Salt Pans, has been labelled a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), largely due to the scrub and wildlife being of high nature conservation value.

The Eastern Venezuela Basin is major sedimentary basin in northeastern Venezuela that contains copious petroleum reserves. The basin lies between several geological structures. To the south it bounds Guiana Shield, to the north metamorphic rocks of the easternmost Andes, to the west the Espino Graben, to the northeast the Barbados accretionary complex and to the east it bounds to the oceanic crust of the Atlantic Ocean.
