Chamber (stylized as chamber, chamber, or CHAMBER) is an American metalcore band from Nashville, Tennessee formed in 2017. [1] They have released two EPs titled Hatred Softly Spoken [2] and Final Shape/In Search of Truth [3] in 2018 before releasing their third EP Ripping / Pulling / Tearing in 2019. [4] They then released their first studio album Cost of Sacrifice in 2020. [1] The band then released their fourth EP titled Carved in Stone in 2022, [5] before releasing their second studio album A Love to Kill For in 2023. [6] They are currently signed to Pure Noise Records.

The current members are lead vocalist Jacob Lilly, guitarist and vocalist Gabe Manuel, guitarist Henry Dierig, bass guitarist Chris Smith, and drummer Taylor Carpenter.

Musical style and influences

The band self-refer to their sound as "psychotic mosh metal", [7] with extreme use of dissonant chords, odd-time instrumentation, blast beats, and occasional lush, melodic moments. Some of their songs include electronic sounds of synth and programmed drums. The elements found in their songs are that of mathcore and death metal. [8]

They are heavily influenced by bands such as Converge, Deftones, Botch, Coalesce, [2] Gojira, and Slipknot. [9]

Too Bad You're Beautiful is the debut studio album by Long Island-based post-hardcore band From Autumn to Ashes. The album is unique in that it features the dual vocals of Benjamin Perri and drummer Francis Mark. Perri provides the hardcore-esque shouts while Mark sings and occasionally contributes background screams. The album was reissued in 2005 with the Sin, Sorrow, and Sadness demo as bonus tracks at the end.

Invent Animate is an American metalcore band formed in Port Neches, Texas, in 2011. The group consists of vocalist Marcus Vik, lead guitarist Keaton Goldwire, rhythm guitarist Trey Celaya, bassist Caleb Sherraden, and drummer Brody Taylor Smith. They self-released their debut EP titled Waves on March 13, 2012. After a number of regional tours and increasing popularity in the online djent community, the band was signed up by Tragic Hero Records in February 2014. The band announced they would release their debut studio album titled Everchanger on August 26, 2014. Their sophomore album, Stillworld, was released on July 8, 2016. Their third album and first with Marcus Vik, Greyview, was released on March 13, 2020. Their most recent studio album, Heavener, was released through their new label, UNFD, on March 17, 2023.

Varials is an American metalcore band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, formed in October 2013. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Mitchell Rogers, guitarist James Hohenwarter, bassist Mike Foley and drummer Sean Rauchut.

Vein.fm is an American metalcore band from Boston that formed in 2013. They are known for their frequent tours and have performed shows with groups such as Code Orange and Twitching Tongues while in Europe. In 2017 the band was signed onto Closed Casket Activities, who would issue their first full-length work Errorzone to positive reception among critics, even appearing on Revolver's early "Best Albums of 2018" list. The album also managed to peak at number 21 on Billboard's Hard Rock album chart. In July 2020, after the release of their remix album, the band announced it changed its name to Vein.fm.

Dealer is an Australian nu metalcore group that was formed in 2018. The group is composed of vocalist Aidan Ellaz-Holmes, drummer Brad Lipsett, bassist Matthew Brida and guitarist Jack Leggett.

Orthodox is a metalcore band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2011. The lineup consists of lead vocalist Adam Easterling, guitarist Austin Evans, bass guitarist Shiloh Krebs, and drummer Mike White. They released their first studio album End Of My Wit in 2013 and followed up the next year in 2014 with their extended play Give Me A Reason, both on Clear Minded Records. In 2015, the band released a split EP with Michigan hardcore band Breaking Wheel. They then signed to Unbeaten Records, releasing their sophomore studio album Sounds of Loss in 2017 and third studio album Let It Take Its Course in 2020. They are currently signed to Century Media Records, and have released the single 'Body and Soul' on October 15, 2021, fourth studio album Learning to Dissolve on August 19, 2022, and follow-up single 'Soaking Nerves' on June 26, 2023. They have toured with bands such as Spite, The Acacia Strain, Varials, Harm's Way, Kublai Khan TX, and Stick to Your Guns.
