Chandrakant Gaur (1929-2012), commonly referred to simply as Chandrakant ,is a Hindi B-movie director of action films and mythological movies. His work extends the Babubhai Mistri tradition, featuring Dara Singh (who also worked for Mistri) and Marathi star Jayshree Gadkar. He made Punjabi hits (e.g. Bhagat Dhanna Jat) reviving Punjabi cinema. Also made Gujarati mythological films. [2] [3]
In a career spanning nearly four decades, he directed 45 films including Hindi, Punjabi and Gujarati films, acted in 7 films and wrote stories for many films. He composed music in Do Dost (1951) along with S. Mohinder.
Bhagat Dhanna Jaat (1974), the Punjabi film directed by him is believed to have contributed to revival of Punjabi cinema. His debut film as a director was Riding Hero (1951), a stunt film made by Laxmi Productions of Chimanlal Trivedi.
His acting career was from 1939 to 1952. He appeared in Midnight Mail (1939), Maataa (1942), Swarna Bhoomi (1944), Seedha Rasta (1947), Mere Laal (1948), Shiva Ramoshi (1951 - Marathi Film) and Chhatrapati Shivaji (1952).
He also produced few films like Balaram Shri Krishna (1968), Hari Darshan (1972), Har Har Mahadev (1974), Bajrangbali (1976), Bolo He Chakradhari (1977) under the banner of "Joy Films".

Mahendra Kapoor was an Indian playback singer. In a long career spanning decades, his repertoire included popular songs such as Chalo ekbaar phir se Ajnabi ban jayen hum dono (Gumrah) and Neele Gagan ke tale (Hamraaz). His name however became most closely associated with patriotic songs including Mere Desh Ki Dharti in Manoj Kumar's film Upkaar. He considered Mohammad Rafi as his Guru. In 1972, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. He lent his voice to actor Manoj Kumar in most of his films and had a lengthy association with director-producer Baldev Raj Chopra. Mahanubhava refers to Krishnaite Hindu denomination in India that was founded by Sarvadnya Shri Chakradhar Swami, an ascetic and philosopher who is considered as a reincarnation of Krishna by his devotees Some sources list the founders as Chakrapani and Govinda Prabhu with Chakradhara as the first "apostle" and propagator of Mahanubhava Pantha. Mahanubhava Sampradaya was formally formed in modern-day Varhad region of Maharashtra in 1267 CE. It has different names such as Jai Krishni Pantha in Punjab and Achyuta Pantha in Gujarat. Mahanubhava Pantha was also known as Paramarga by its followers in 13th century. Nagadevacharya, also known as Bhatobas, became the head of Sampradaya after Chakradhara.
Narsinh Mehta, also known as Narsinh Bhagat, was a 15th-century poet-saint of Gujarat, India, honored as the first poet, or Adi Kavi, of the Gujarati language. Narsinh Mehta is member of Nagar Brahman community. Narsinh became a devotee of Krishna, and dedicated his life to composing poetic works described as bhakti, or devotion towards Krishna. His bhajans have remained popular in Gujarat and Rajasthan for over 5 centuries. Most notably, his composition Vaishnav Jan To was Mahatma Gandhi's favorite and became popular with freedom fighters across India.
