After announcements of the sequel to superhit Chandrawal film, shootings began on 11 October 2011 near Raipur Rani in Panchkula District, Haryana. With financial issue makers including the lead actress in its first part as co-producer in sequel Usha Sharma borrowed a loan and sold her ornaments.

Panchkula district was formed as the 17th district of the Indian state of Haryana on 15 August 1995. It comprises two sub divisions and two tehsils: Panchkula and Kalka. Raipur Rani is a census town in Panchkula district in the Indian state of Haryana. It is located on the Panchkula city-Chandigarh-Nahan-Paonta Sahib-Dehradun highway 30 kilometres east from the Chandigarh-Mohali-Panchkula urban cities combine. It is about 20 kilometres from the Dera Bassi Industrial belt and 10 kilometres from the Barwala industrial estate. Narayangarh in the Ambala District is the next large town in its proximity.

Ameerin Aadhi-Bhagavan previously known as Aadhi Bhagavan, is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Ameer. Produced by DMK politician J. Anbazhagan, the film stars Jayam Ravi in the titular dual role as the hero and villain along with Neetu Chandra, Saiju Kurup and Sudha Chandran. Chandrawal is a 1984 Indian Haryanvi-language film. It is the third Haryanavi-language film to be released and the first financially successful one. Written by Devi Shankar Prabhakar, produced by Usha Sharma and directed by Jayant Prabhaker, the film's music was arranged by J. P. Kaushik. Starring dancer Usha Sharma, it tells the story of a tragic love affair between Chandrawal, a girl of the Gadia Lohar community, and Suraj, a Jat boy. It was released in March 1984 and became very successful, spurred on by a popular soundtrack. A sequel, Chandrawal-2, produced by Usha Sharma and directed by Nishant Prabhakar was released in 2012.

They speak Haryanvi, a central Indo-Aryan language related to Western Hindi, and other similar dialects such as Ahirwati, Mewati, Puadhi, and Bagri. The term Haryanvi people has been used both in the ethnolinguistic sense and for someone from Haryana.
