Tehanu: The Last Book of Earthsea is a fantasy novel by the American author Ursula K. Le Guin, published by Atheneum in 1990. It is the fourth novel set in the fictional archipelago Earthsea, following almost twenty years after the Earthsea trilogy (1968–1972), and not the last, despite its subtitle. It won the annual Nebula Award for Best Novel and the Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel.

Warrior Nun Areala is a manga-style American comic book character created by Ben Dunn and published by Antarctic Press, first appearing in Warrior Nun Areala Vol. 1 #1 in December 1994. The story revolves around Sister Shannon Masters, a Joan of Arc-like heroine of the Order of the Cruciform Sword, a fictional military order of Warrior Nuns and Magic Priests in service of the Catholic Church. The order was created in 1066 when a Valkyrie named Auria renounced her pagan ways and turned to Jesus Christ for salvation; ever since then, Auria, now Areala, has chosen an avatar every generation to carry on the mission. Phoonk is a 2008 Indian horror film directed by Ram Gopal Varma and produced by Praveen Nischol starring Sudeep. The film based on superstition and black magic. It was declared a blockbuster at the box office by several media outlets. Verma derived the idea for the film from a Hindi news channel which telecasts stories on Black magic. A prize of ₹5 lakh (US$7,000) was announced for those who will watch the film alone in a theatre. The storyline of Phoonk is thematically similar to Telugu thriller novel Tulasi Dalam by Yandamuri Veerendranath. It was remade in Telugu as Raksha. The film was dubbed in Tamil as Bommayi. The film was followed by a sequel, Phoonk 2, in 2010.
