Charis Scott (born 14 May 2002) is a Scottish cricketer. [1] In May 2019, she was named in Scotland's squad for the 2019 ICC Women's Qualifier Europe tournament in Spain. [2] She made her Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) for Scotland against Germany on 29 June 2019. [3] In August 2019, she was named in Scotland's squad for the 2019 Netherlands Women's Quadrangular Series. [4] She played in Scotland's first match of the series, against Thailand on 8 August 2019. [5]

In January 2022, she was named in Scotland's team for the 2022 Commonwealth Games Cricket Qualifier tournament in Malaysia. [6]

The 2019 international cricket season was from May 2019 to September 2019. The 2019 Cricket World Cup in England and Wales took place during this time, starting on 30 May 2019. 10 Test matches, 78 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 109 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), as well as 1 Women's Test, 9 Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and 130 Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), were played during this period. Additionally, a number of other T20I/WT20I matches were also scheduled to be played in minor series involving associate nations. The season started with India leading the Test cricket rankings, England leading the ODI rankings and Pakistan leading the Twenty20 rankings. The 2019 Netherlands Women's Quadrangular Series was a Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament that was held in Deventer, Netherlands, from 8 to 14 August 2019. It took place ahead of the 2019 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in Scotland. The series was contested between the teams of Ireland, the Netherlands, Scotland and Thailand. All the matches took place at the Sportpark Het Schootsveld. Thailand won the series, after winning five of their six matches, with Scotland finishing second.

At the age of 14 years and 81 days, she was the youngest female cricketer to represent Scotland in a WT20I match. At the time of her international debut, Fraser was a third year pupil at The Mary Erskine School in Edinburgh.

The 2021–22 Associate international cricket season was from September 2021 to April 2022. All official twenty over matches between Associate members of the ICC were eligible to have full Twenty20 International (T20I) or Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status, as the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted T20I status to matches between all of its members from 1 July 2018 and 1 January 2019. The season included all T20I/WT20I cricket series mostly involving ICC Associate members, that were played in addition to series covered in International cricket in 2021–22.
